A little broader point

since I have been charged of being a Republican, a conservative, a member of the Christian Right and a libertarian in the same breath for wanting some regulations that are actually science based. Here are some of the things that those republicans, libertarians and conservatives have done in the past, and trust me, they were far from popular (Though in a few cases there were actual Republicans involved, but they are far from today's Republicans)

Child Labor laws, they were actually under attack and finally regulated out of existence. (Should I remind the board that modern day members of the GOP want to bring it back)

Environmental laws, such as the EPA and water protection acts (They are currently under attack by well. modern day Republicans)

Food safety laws, which again are under attack.

Universal Vaccination campaign for polio (one of the greatest successes of science based policy) Policies like this are currently under attack.

I could go on, but would like to point out that science based regulation is actually progressive, even liberal in nature.

She has been going on and on about the evils of e-cigs.

15. Amen. Ecigs have been a GODSEND to many of us.

They are an affordable EFFECTIVE alternative and REAL harm reduction.

The OP's obsession with regulating the shit out of them to make less accessible and more costly is total horeseshit.

Now, who in the hell wants to repeal Child Labor laws?  Who, blob?  Give me names.  Now, to correct your festering Jell-O mold of backward upside down goop; Child Labor Laws were established to abolish non-farm labor under the age of 12.  How were they regulated out of ..........existence???  Sure, go ahead, remind us of something that is not being discussed anywhere, but in the minds of paranoid dwarfs.

The EPA was hijacked almost before the ink was dry establishing it.  Nixon was a liberal, you twit.

Food safety laws, which again are under attack.

By whom?  Names, blob, names.  Laws keeping foodstuffs safe for consumption are proper.  That is food safety.  Legislation forcing retailers to kowtow to; progressive whims of the moment based on emotional spurts of a psychotic control disorder and basing it on governmental studies that flip flop every ten years, or so, is not safety, nor is it science.

Too stupid for words not mashed into incomprehensible gibberish.

No you can't.  Not without stapling crap together like a preschooler.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Isn't it the Obama administration that is allowing chickens to be shipped to China for processing and then re-imported to the US. How is that helping food safety at all?

Obama's Regime wanted to make it illegal for children to work on family farms, that is not preventing child labor, that is trying to drive them out of business.

I can picture how it would have worked on my grandparents' farm when I was a child.

Me-Pappa, the president says that since I'm only 9 years old it's illegal for me to work on the farm.

Granddaddy-Yes, but he's an idiot that doesn't have a field full of tobacco to pick. Now get back on that tractor before I take my belt to your behind.

I miss that ole' fart every day, but a part of me is glad that he's not here to see what they've done to this country.

When I was in about the 8th to 11th grades, my stepfather and I did odd jobs on weekends to supplement his salary.  We moved stuff using his pick-up truck, and did a lot of plumbing work (real pipes that had to be cut and threaded, NOT PVC).  Because I was quite small, it was my job to go under houses in crawl spaces.

It never occurred to me to say no.  I don't miss him at all (another story), but I did learn a good work ethic.

In the 12th grade I worked about 35 hours a week after school and on weekends in a drug store, bought my own car, and wasn't made didn't get to go under houses any more.
This too shall pass.

Since when do people not expect their children to help out the family.

Is this this not the reason humans have children, to become part of the family and help it grow ?

Do humans have children to leach on them, demand to be treated as Pets in the family ?  Do parents have the duty to raise their child to become a responsible adult ?

Yeah I have heard it all " I did not ask to be born"------ OK so I brought you into the world with none of your consent, now I have the right to take you out, think about that."

Bull Shit, Parents and grand parents are here to teach the children how to grow , mature and become responsible adults to do  the same for their prodigy.

Now this does not mean the family has to sit back and expect the kids to figure this out by them selves.   The Adults have to work with the kids to teach them responsibility, one has to take the time out of a busy work life to train their kids in some kind of livelihood.

I am speaking of us everyday people, not the  professionals that spend a bundle of money to keep their kids out of jail.

Why are not parents responsible for their children and their actions, Why not put the hammer down on the parents that allow their kids run wild and cause mayhem.

You got a child you cannot control and they cause big problem's, take the kid away and take the adults who say they have no control off to jail for a few weeks.   Should be interesting how when the family is reunited the whole scenario has changed.
