She was the nastiest person I ever saw on DU. No matter what the topic, she managed to divert it to her self-righteous sermons about how superior she was to everyone because she was homeless.

I still suspect--although I have nothing to back this up--that the bobbling primitive was a mole, perhaps a graduate student in sociology or anthropology, trying to collect and catalogue opinions from various groups, about the poor or about poverty or about elitism; something like that.

There seemed to be a certain sort of modus operendi "she" used, as if she were collecting data.

I recognized it, as I've done the same thing myself.

I may have recognized wrongly, but the nagging suspicion that "she" was a mole won't go away.

Applying Occam's Razor, I think mental illness is a much more likely explanation.

Bobbolink was a homeless woman that lived in her car. She disappeared from the island around mid 2011, supposedly after she received death threats from someone with the name pit and rivers.

Her writing style, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation were those of a highly literate, educated person.

That seems unlikely for a one living in an old car, but possible, since her DUmp heyday was during the darkest days of the 0conomy.

You'd think that an intelligent mole would try to sound more like a homeless wino.

Of course the most impeccable writer in DUmp history, TiT, claimed to have never spent a day in school and to drink a quart of gin a day.

If her homelessness was due to her mental illness and general bad attitude (I mean, can you imagine having to work with someone like that???) then it is totally possible to be literate and articulate and homeless all at the same time.

I highly suspect the same thing, with the exception that "bobolink" was more than one graduate social work student.

I have high hopes that Team Bobolink can make a difference at whatever she, or they, end up working.

Her screen name was "bobbolink", not "bobolink".

It's surprising that someone who writes as well as bobbolink would misspell the word "bobolink". Maybe a play on Bobby.

IMHO, Doug Bulna has her beat in the son of a bitch dept. Xulta was another one. I wonder if she got drunk and fell off of her high horse and broke her neck.

I've been reading about her. Seems the consensus on DU and The Old Elm Tree is that she was bat shit crazy.

I doubt Don Francesco would personally wack the round red sodomite, but, if a foot solider in the Baltimore organization owed him a kindness, well such things have been known to happen.

There are tentacles of the organization everywhere, DUmmies know they are watched by more than the NSA and repo man.

As for Bobo? Maybe she got amnesia when she slipped on a bar of soap in lock up. No homeless person would have had the access she had. No laptop battery could have withstood the constant posting, no library or coffee shop the musky smell. She posted at all hours more like from an institution.

I don't believe anything i see about bobolink or bobbolink or any other DUmmy suffering under a bad economy. They elected their messiah to put gas in their car and pay their mortgage. An obozophone in every pot. He was supposed to calm the waters and cause the oceans to recede. Under wonderful economic conditions such as those, how could any DUmmie possibly want to live out of a car ?

I have frequent disagreements on things with William, but that was not his fault, nor was it Bobbolink's on account of mental illness.

This is the fault of the completely inadequate mental health system in the US. Someone like Bobbolink should be getting intensive treatment to help make her as able to contribute to society and have a happy, healthy life as possible.

It is often very difficult to successfully interact with someone who has untreated mental illness, many times more so if you don't know that is with what you are dealing.

Even though pitstain's mind was addled from adult beverages or some other substance, it was still his fault - he CHOSE to consume whatever substance was in his system at the time.
