Are the Republicans anti-American? Consider these two questions

Back in 1956, how many politicians would have dared to question Eisenhower's manhood after Khrushchev invaded Hungary?

What would have been the reaction if Ike's political opponents started crowing about how stupid the president was and how he was "outsmarted" by Khrushchev?

2. There's this thing about the GOP mindset:

Many of them consider themselves and their ilk to be America. They think the rest of us are not part of their country. This is made clear by some of their statements like, "I want my country back."

I don't think this is a fair question to compare the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 to what is going on now.

I was a little kid when Ike was President, and my late Grandmother was a hardcore Chicago Democrat...and those are pretty much exactly the kinds of things she said about him.

PROJECTION!

Putin crotch punched Obama concerning Syria.
Putin crotch kicked Obama concerning the Ukraine.

My prediction is we will have to go to foreign media within the week to find out how badly Putin has outsmarted Obama on the Ukraine. Our fluffing media will get yet another giant embarrassment of King Barky the Incompetent out of the cycle ASAP.

The question is a non sequitur.

Eisenhower won WW2. It would be a tough case to make that he was stupid and could be outsmarted.

Dear Leader on the other is stupid, and he has been outsmarted. That's become even more clear over the last couple of days. Pointing it out has nothing to do with being American or un-American; it's just a accurate observation. You libs want to see un-American then go look in the mirror.

You're not.

The question is a non sequitur.

Completely.  There is no comparison between the two.  This just an addled half-wit remembering something in his long ago youth that sounded, similar.

I would have to ask the parents.  I wasn't conceived quite yet and they were still living downtown.  If they even remember, or cared, what the (D)emocrats were saying at the time.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Liberals hate the Constitution.  That's why they call it a "living document."

And, in their minds, since it is a living "document" it is not yet human and should be aborted.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe
