I think all of us have or know someone with challenges. We deal with them and they don't define who we are.
My purpose for posting this thread was the OPs desire to find another issue to pounce on and get offended over. The past few weeks every thread had turned into a sexist catfight, after they ran the racist meme into the ground.
DUmmies are not happy unless they are unhappy about some preconceived injustice.
That's why I don't bring it up most of the time because constantly looking for sympathy and even praise selfish. I laugh at their bullshit too because I think the majority of them are mental hypochondriacs. It's become a badge of honor and an excuse for their self inflicted piss poor lives. The "how many pills do you take" threads are some of my favorites because generally they list their mental illness. I find it ridiculous that their meds never help them and they still have the same angst and crazy they've always had. I get a kick out of the DUmmie (I'm so bad about remembering DUmmie names) who has PTSD from a tornado that she was hardly affected by.
I just wanted to point out that in that 30% there are other people besides DUmmies, including military members with PTSD (which I should have mentioned because supporting them is very important). Almost once a week on my Marine moms or military family groups we hear about a military person who needs help NOW or someone who committed suicide. I do feel mentioning it once in a while so that people can see most of us live perfectly normal lives is important. The freaking idiots over there stigmatize themselves and everyone else, which thoroughly pisses me off. I'm not a victim, I never will be.
