Submarine Seaview
« on: February 20, 2014, 04:55:39 PM »
I never understood why this boat felt like it had to continuously pound the ocean with active sonar?!?

I mean this thing was a boomer, stealth should have been its by word right?

But no, it's constantly killing whales, even when it knows that it's being searched for by UN attack boats.

And when it's found by a UN attack boat (can't imagine how that happened) and is running like a fraggle, it is still pounding away with active.

The whales had it coming. They were really asking for it. Ever since Free Willey, they've been all uppity.
Whales need to know their place.

I have to admit, even though I don't like the idea of the UN having subs, that one sub had the chutzpah to try to close with the Seaview in order to take it out with its own implosion.

Damn, how many of you guys watch documentaries.

If memory serves, it was a choice between killing them with sonar or having them boiled alive by the burning van Allen belt. A decision I would not want to make.

Have to admit the sonar waves will **** up the sensors of sea life.  With all the subs of many country's out there using sonar, have to figure much of the sea creatures will get discombobulated.

Divers down ----means the sonar has to be turned off, the shock waves will kill them.   So what does this do to the sea creatures  ?

Is the one life of a whale be more important then then 10,000 peoples lives in Chicago ?

Humans come first, sorry about the snail darter that prevents people from building on the small area they live on.

If a species has to go to make humans safe, so be it.     :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

Are you going all nads on us?? ;)

Could be Free, I do wonder about the dead spots in our seas and oceans.   Are they man made or just natural occurrences of nature or a combo of both.

My most favorite news clip was when some Admiral trying to keep a straight face was questioned by a law maker that feared Guam would tip over.--  The self control of the Admiral was spectacular.

Far as I know no submariner wants to topside ride until they get to port.   Bouncing about in that tin can on the surface can make the Captain of the Pinafore very sick at sea.

The Japanese fisherman lately report the giant squid they catch being caught in waters they should not be in.   They the squid live at depths unimaginable to us and something is driving them up from the depths.     Is it possible that the submarines can now reach depths we never imagined before and running them out of their habitat ?

These questions are one of the reasons I am not too excited on exploring Mars.   We have no idea what is on our own planet and need to find out before we try to understand other planets.  A kind of Know Thy Self before trying to understand strangers.
