There's was heavy police presence in the area of Gearhart Chevrolet late Tuesday afternoon, multiple people working or traveling through the area have told NJ.com.

Several emergency vehicles were on each side of Route 46 near Gearhart, Parsippany resident Janine Torsiello said. She said she passed by the area around 3:40 p.m.

Several people were standing outside of Gearhart, as well as outside Sogo Sushi House across the street, she said.

The Gearhart parking lot was blocked off, but Route 46 did not appear to be obstructed, Torsiello said.

Workers at the nearby Denville Florist and Bark's Bed and Biscuit also described several emergency vehicles in the area.

Police could not be immediately reached for comment.

From Chris' link above.  (BTW, that NJ.com website stinks!  Not your fault of course)

Thanks & welcome aboard, johndowe!

Oh my.

Police investigating bomb threat called into Denville car dealership

From the article, this is funny.

Quote
Authorities do not believe the threat was related to Gearhart Chevrolet's operations, but they're investigating whether the threat was against one of the employees, the captain said.

"It doesn't appear to be an unhappy customer," Police Chief Paul Nigro said.

Could it be, perhaps, one of their FORMER employees?   :rotf:

Maybe a disgruntled customer couldn't find the remote.

Or it could just be the Walrus exacting his revenge.

Oh dear, I hope a remote control wasn't used to possibly set the bomb off! :panic:

Looks like Denville, NJ might have a crazy person on the loose.  This is from November.

Maybe Doug Bulna has thought that the heat has died down and it's safe to act now.

Given Doug Bulna's propensity for voicing violence, odds may not be a long as you might think that he might know something about this.

Great. If he is a suspect, ALL his posts at DU are evidence! Methinks the cops won't be looking at hisn puppy posts.

Hint to the police: there are TWO DUs: one active one not. You will find incriminating posts at each.
...I wonder if anyone ever linked to those before.

I would bet that with the explosion of the intertubes, it's SOP in all violent crimes.

I would bet that Doug Bulna gets a peek.
