Oh my.

I read the whole thing--it's a very long article--and nowhere is the party affiliation given.

Quote
Mass. House Expels Rep. Carlos Henriquez

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — The Massachusetts House voted to expel jailed state Rep. Carlos Henriquez on Thursday — something that has not happened in the chamber for nearly a century.

The vote was 146-5 to expel Henriquez. The chamber also struck down a proposal to merely censure Henriquez instead of ousting him.

Henriquez, who is serving a six-month jail sentence after being convicted last month of assaulting a former girlfriend in July 2012, said before the vote that he was innocent of the charges and rejected calls for him to resign......

Funny how that NEVER showed up in the article.

The subject title was somewhat of a dead giveaway for me. Definitely (D).
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Oh it gets much worse - the NAACP and black ministers in the area supported him and brushed off his crime as harmless.

It's the GOP with the war on women though folks.  Don't you forget it.

His bffs - they claimed they didn't like the process.   He is running again, and will probably win.

No offense, but this is why I shake my head when I hear people from Mass talk about how wonderful that state is.

It is for the most part on many levels, but the statehouse could use some more (R)s for sure.   The super-super-super majority just kills it every time.    Some parts of the state are more conservative than others.
