A question for lurking Proglodytes; RE: Evolution
« on: February 13, 2014, 08:55:11 AM »
I see Bill Nye has finally given you "people" something to talk about in happy tones. You finally get to congratulate yourselves on how smart you are that you're nothing like those backwards, science-hating religious types.

Atheists, we're told, are susceptible to such things as the crass bigotries of religions which stains all of human history.

But if evolution = no bigotry then how come you guys get so upset when evolution is used as the sub-text of racial humor, i.e. depicting the Obamas in a "pre-human" context?

Is your antipathy to religion really as intellectually grounded as you assert or do you have to admit that if evolution can be exploited for racism than maybe the issue isn't religion b/ut human failing?

If you came to this latter admission would you set aside your bigotry against religion?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Leftists more or less equal parts of hate, bigotry, projection, arrogance, and ignorance.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

100% of each.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Can I get an intolerance ?
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

If they hate life as it is now, why didn't their parents end it in the womb? It would have saved them and us a good deal of grief
