Republicans have a huge wedge issue IF they decide to use it

Look at the news lately... IRS persecuting citizens, NSA spying on loyal citizens, HS buying 141,000 sniper rounds, National Guard training to fight 2nd Amendment supporters...

The Populist.

Can the republicans, for once capitalize on a populist wave that is about to crest? Can the Republicans rally against the Government agencies that they've historically supported? Can they play off populist anger?

Liberty and Freedom are more than just words. Even the younger voters will respond well to the message.

A lot of the people who will get fired up by these 'Populist' issues regard them as 'Libertarian' issues, and have already given up on the GOP.  The problem with issues like pervasive surveillance and gun control is that there are plenty of major GOP players (McCain and most of those from the Northeast, especially Christie, King, and Giuliani) who are indistinguishable from Democrats.

The wedge that would work for me.

The republicans let Obama and the democrats run amuck for 8 years then win both houses and the presidency. They then get Obama's birth certificate, his school records, the communist writings of his youth and his passport records. They determine he is not an American citizen, he is a communist plant assisted by numerous high ranking democrats that did not properly vet his candidacy....Nancy P., Harry Reid, etc......they are all tried, convicted and shot within 72 hours for treason. The democrat party is totally destroyed. Every government employee hired during the past 8 years is fired, every law passed, executive order issued and every supreme court decision is nullified.

Now we're getting somewhere. :-) :-)
