All three are rescue success stories. Sweetie was abandoned and had a broken leg. Nobody claimed her. So we adopted her from HUA: http://www.hua.org/

When Dug's former owners moved out, they left him behind with no food or water. He was still a puppy. If the landlord had waited a few more days before checking on the apartment, it would have been too late.

He's an ass but anyone who rescues abandoned or shelter animals is doing a noble thing, I don't care how crazy they are. Most of my pets are from abandoned/abused homes or shelters.

On the other hand, it does have more replies than any other thread he has started. It's a sad state when OS is overwhelmingly acknowledged because of a picture of a Dog's ass.

I'll reserve my opinion to when, and if, I find out how well he takes care of them. I knew a guy years ago that would rescue cats only to use them to train his dogs to hunt. He rarely had one survive. He saw nothing wrong with the practice. They were going to die anyway, right? ****in' cretin'. I kicked the shit out of him and he decided it wasn't a good idea. My contribution to pound pets.

We also need to remember PETA "rescuing" dogs, gassing them with car exhaust, then dumping them in a dumpster behind a grocery store just to make it look good for their PR. Wouldn't surprise me a prick like Dawes would do much the same thing for DUmp cred.

As the only one here that has met Omaha Steve I can say that he would not harm any animals in the way PETA has. He maybe a lot of things but abusive to animals isn't one of them.
