What people fail to understand, though, is that the corporate media and the professional pols of both parties have all collaborated to make us think that the center far to the right of where it actually is.
Pretending the "corporate media" isn't your friends when 95% of those who populate the "corporate media" confess to being liberals/democrats/Obama slobberers just makes you look stupid and adds another lace hanky to your anti-reality hopechest.
The the center is where the Average American is, and that is far to the LEFT of where the talking heads imagine it to be.

ALMOST got this one right by accident. An example would be the 2nd amendment, which liberals want to repeal (that's "destroy" for you DUmbasses). It was saved from the trash heap just this week (for the foreseeable future) by conservatives on the US Supreme Court. Normal people know this. Liberals are still gnashing their drug-rotted teeth over it.
BTW, no other "rights" have been taken away either. Now, there is talk by many liberals of reinstating the "Fairness Doctrine", which is an assault on the right to free speech. Conservatives will stop this too.
Looking back over the last two paragraphs, you wanna tell me again who is a threat to normal people's rights and who isn't?
