15. Clearly you're not a racist, homophobic asshole

Since it seems after that Superbowl Commercial that Coke is no longer the preferred brand of racist, homophobic assholes.

I'm not real sure what this is all about, but it seems to me it's one of those instances where the primitives jump to silly conclusions and assume decent and civilized people are "boycotting" something.

The DUmpmonkeys are operating under the delusion that a mythical, monolithic "Right" is boycotting Coca-Cola, because of a Super Bowl commercial. The commercial shows people singing America the Beautiful in different languages.

In response, the DUmpmonkeys are making a big deal about buying Coke products. The irony is, of course, that Coca-Cola is one of the largest corporations on earth, the epitome of the mythical "one percent"; and purveyors of one of the least healthy "food" products on earth: canned brown sugar water with caffeine added for extra addiction power.

Way to go, DUmmies! Gaea weeps.

Oh.  Thank you!

I always drink Coca-Cola because it's allegedly the Republican company, while Pepsi-Cola's the Democrat company; the geography and the demographics seemed pretty much to prove it.

Actually, really, I always drink Coca-Cola because it's the original, and if one can have the original, why bother with a substitute?

I didn't see it because I didn't watch the Superbowl, but apparently Coke ran an ad with a bunch of minorities singing America The Beautiful in different languages, and, like all things that advocate multiculturalism,  The Primitives were beguiled and impressed by this enough to rush out and start buying Coke products.

And they say we're the sheep...

Well, damn.

Considering the international scope of Coca-Cola, I'm surprised they never run such an advertisement years ago, decades ago.

Coca-Cola, Ford, and Singer at one time were the most-recognized symbols in the world; they were into this "global trading" thing decades, generations, before other corporations caught on.

Really I can't think of a better example of how immature and naive DUers can be.

I should come up with some product like, an "Automated Baby Seal Clubber" or something, and then all I'd have to do is run a bunch of ads on DU with a black transsexual with a French accent as the spokesperson and I guarantee you The Primitives would flock to my website to buy it, even if they didn't have any baby seals that needed clubbing.

Actually, this is okay; it keeps the primitives preoccupied so they don't pay attention to what we're really doing.

For all the lurking DUmbasses, I'm going to attempt to help you from making and ass out of yourself.  It's a monumental task I know, but here goes.  The idea of having people sing America the Beautiful in different languages was concocted in whatever marketing agency that Coke has on the payroll.  It's aimed at one thing:  INCREASE Profits.  Nothing more.  While you may have different thoughts within the organization, the first priority in business is making a profit.  So by you rushing out and purchasing their product you have contributed to so called 1% percenters.  Thank You for your business.

Actually, this is okay; it keeps the primitives preoccupied so they don't pay attention to what we're really doing.

Only way as an adult I drank Coke is with a couple shots of rum and a wedge of lime.

Until I was old enough to demand Coke as a kid I had to drink this regional concoxion of soda, pop, tonic, depends on what one calls the stuff named MOXIE. There is no way to make that stuff taste good to a child.

I found a diner that had Moxie on the soda list and gave it another go as a middle aged old fart and something had changed to my sense of taste through the years.  This time around it was not bad at all, I kind of liked it matter of fact.

Much like canned baked beans and pork, they have to be B&M as all the others are missing something.

Coke needs to be  sold in glass bottles the plastic ones just don't taste the same.

Far as the ad with the spunky kid telling daddy she would except a baby brother if he got her a puppy,   on so many levels this was right on,   I really like that ad.

Ayup.  There's an increased fizziness that Pepsi has, IMO, and I don't like it.

Pepsi has this kind of "tangy" taste to it too, that I find icky.  Never liked it much.

Pepsi is too syrupy for me.  I'll stick with Coke.

Some of the no-name store brands aren't bad.  Wal-Mart's diet soda is okay.

I would consider my self pretty conservative, more than average on most issues.  I saw the ad, it never occurred to me until I saw the liberals response to it that something might be "bad" about it.

Coke is a worldwide company, why wouldn't they have people from several nationalities in their commercials?  Seems the liberals are the ones that notice race.......making them the racists?

Reminds me of the outrage they had over the Cheerios commercial with that clever little girl who got a puppy. They showed a bi-racial family and the only ones up in arms about it was the libs showing their true colors. :rotf:

I never got the DUmmy projection over that one, either.

The puppy commercial is cute, but I liked the other one better; the one where the dad wakes up from his nap with Cheerios piled up over his heart.

Agreed.  I paid little attention to the ad.  Why are their feathers all ruffled up?

I don't drink soda anymore, but when I did, I preferred Pepsi over Coke.  Not sure why that was.

I think the coke was too sweet and not fizzy enough.

The brand of soda I buy has nothing to do with politics, just its taste.  Maybe if manufacture of a brand actually involved human sacrifice and the competitor's didn't, I might reconsider.  Maybe.
