administrators turned down their request for a spirit week day honoring America because it might offend non-Americans.
I've always wondered how people who could be offended by America always seem to end up
in America.
If a mere celebration offends a non-American, why are they here?
Surely these offended types must squirm on the floor in agony every 4th of July.
What heartbreak these people must feel every time they go to the post office-a flag flies overhead!
Perhaps the easily offended need to get a spine and deal with it-as opposed canceling celebrations for fear of some phantom of offense.
Liberals find ways to offend me every day, no one is concerned about my feelings. Why should I care about theirs?
There is no right to NOT be offended. No one cancels gay parades because someone might be offended.
When Occupy Wall Street called for the organized murder of the rich, no one asked them to tone down the rhetoric.
When Bill Ayers refused to back down from his assertion that 25 million Americans need to be executed, no one asked him to stop visiting the president. It seems liberal desires to not offend people only goes one way.
So I decided not to play that game. I suggest the celebration go on anyhow. Lets see if the liberals will call the police on students waving the flag. Civil Disobedience goes both ways too.
