What's for Dinner ~ Sunday ~ Feb 2nd
It's
so much work, posting a single thread about four times a week, just a title and no text in the body.

1. Filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, maybe peas to wrap it up?
Not feeling particularly inspired to cook today. Wish I'd had the foresight to defrost the turkey in my freezer. It would be a great way to help warm up the house today!

3. Spicy pulled pork wraps. Corn tortilla, pork, shredded cabbage, green chili sauce, scallions, lime.
Coconut rice. Cucumber and red onion salad. Everything's already made, save the rice. So it's just cook the rice, heat the wraps, plate the salad and eat.

5. Caramelized Onion, Mushroom, & Tortellini Soup
Plus appetizers.
Even though nobody cares about the Superbowl here, it's hard to not indulge on some snacks: jalapeno poppers and macaroni-cheese balls. Slow-roasted sausage with those small red, green, and yellow peppers.
I'm serving up my Caramelized Onion and Mushroom Tortellini Soup, which turned out to be a winner. I made it with mushroom stock that I made myself. Rigatoni stuffed with portobello mushrooms. The greens are spinach.
after which a photograph of some vomitous something one doesn't recommend others go over and look to see what it looks like

9. Roast chicken.
Dressing and broccoli in cheese sauce. I'm one of the 37 percent who doesn't watch the Super Bowl. It's Downton Abbey night!
^^^I'm not sure why, and it's nothing that's hinted at in what the primitive dines upon, but I have the impression the primitive has badly-fitting false teeth.
I dunno where I get the idea, but there it is, there you have it.

11. grilled pork chops
with roasted baby red spuds, and steamed broccoli w/ lemon.
ps: back from a weekend in Pasadena, whereby I got to cook for a house party of 12 people. (Also, a wine tasting party, with tons of finger foods.) I felt "back in the game" when it came to the culinary arts! T'was awesome to finally cook for others again, not just for myself.

12. that sounds great!
I, too, love cooking for others.*
Fortunately, there is no shortage of good food lovers around here!
*the primitive ain't never gonna cook for franksolich, if that picture she posted in her first comment at this campfire's reflective of what and how she cooks.
Gah.....

13. I was happily drafted
Some old (and some new) friends wanted a wine tasting party, but no one wanted to cook. So, I "volunteered" to cook for all. (Meaning... "if Gali cooks, we'll keep him buzzed on wino all night.")
I think it was a win-win for all... heh heh! The wines were outstanding, the one I brought came in 3rd out 12 bottles. All wines had to be bought for less than 20 bucks, as a rule. Had a cool time!
<<<for some reason, suspects this ^^^primitive's gay, and not only that, but of the fluttering type.
