So... cuts to unemployment aid and food stamps [View all]

With three unemployed Americans for every one job opening.

What sort of sick savagery is this?

Tonight, our leaders enjoy sumptuous meals washed down with delightful wines, earned by doing favors for their Predator-Class patrons, while more American children than ever before are homeless and hungry.

This is not reasonable compromise. It is barbarism. It must end. And the people who did this, they ain't gonna end it.

It's an evil plot.  "He who controls the food, controls the people".

Nice term. Noam Chomsky recently used that to describe how our government is treating us.

Republicans are sadistic sociopaths that like making people down on their luck and struggling suffer even further.

Tell me what kind of math is required to get jobs for all the "takers" when there's three people for every available job? I guess the answer is that the two out of three that don't get the job should simply start their own businesses?

Start your own business?  Hell no...you couldn't complain about the man or be an OWS member if you were part of the 1%.  Besides your a Dummy.

An announcement that Republicans will not protect the American people during this time of need caused by Wall St corruption so

'I, President Obama must issue this EO to protect the people from harm, to make sure that our citizens do not starve or die for lack of heat while many of them who lost their jobs are desperately trying to find work in order to feed their families. Many of these people have children so today I am signing this EO because our Republican colleagues refuse to do their duty for the people who entrusted them with the power to do so.

Republicans have created a crisis situation for political reasons making it necessary for me to step in and avert what would be a disastrous and in some cases, dangerous situation for millions of our citizens.'

If he just drafted such a speech and sent them copies with a threat that if they don't start acting like elected officials he intends to use his platform to expose them to the public, they would soon change their tune. But they know Dems will simply whine and blame them when anyone asks so nothing will get done for the people, again.

What about the rebounding economy that the dear leader keeps playing up?  Why do we need unemployment benefits if the job market is as rosy as the bamster keeps saying it is?

Is this why we need to bring the illegal aliens out of the showdows so they can actively participate and fill all the jobs that need to be filled?

When you say tonight, are you referring to a few nights ago when the dear leader hosted a closed to all but his elite friends birthday bash for his wife?  Or perhaps you are refering to all of the lavish afterparties Sunday night after the grammys when all of the liberal pretty people of the music business lived it up moving from one party to another celebrating until the early morning hours while the American children went homeless and hungry?

How can this be, if Obama created so many millions of jobs?

Hey Manny, how do you think all those things get paid for if so many people can't pay taxes anymore.

Manny's always looking for an angle. And it's always something that involves a FDR-type president, a FDR-type Congress, and a populace dumb enough to just roll over and let dolts who are as stupid as Manny run the joint.

Oh well, he keeps the 100% Dear Leader cultists stirred up which is fun, so I say we let him live.

Isn't glowbull warming keeping everyone warm and toasty?  Extending unemployment benefits has been shown to keep people from looking for work or accepting jobs they deem beneath them.

Stop extending benefits and the unemployment rate will drop.

I'm confused. Obama whipped the worst recession in the history of the world i five months and presided over a recovery unlike any other. Hell we had four summers of recovery. Boggles the single digit IQ mind why we are not living in the best economic times in history.

For the short bussers at the DUmp.

Obama has been the genius behind our wonderful economic recovery. Him and him only.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Uh, no; just an acquaintance from real life a very long time ago, when we were younger.

It needs noted that this thread has 3,781 primitive views and 163 primitive comments; as usual, my old pal Manny knows how to pack them in.

Post-and-run primitives, such as the big guy in Bellevue, the rich bitch the kpete primitive, dear old sweet Lu, &c., &c., &c., should really study my dude Manny, to see how he does it, attracting the primitives and their comments.

Bill the Bostonian Drunkard was the same way years ago--posting and running--but even he's seemed to learn the trick to having lively, crowded, animated threads; by posting something--anything--and then hanging around to get engaged with the other primitives commenting.

I'd just like one of them to tell me how all those energy regulations he wants to enact will create jobs. I always thought more regulations=greater cost to the company=less money for keeping present employees and/or hiring new ones. Coal restrictions have also stripped people of jobs (at least he kept that promise). Since all the "green" companies we've subsidised have done nothing more than line the pockets of his donors and cronies before going bankrupt, they've failed to produce more jobs, either.
