Wow! Unlimited internet and bitching about food stamps being cut.  Someone has the wrong priorities. ::)

Remember--it's entitled to the fruits of our labor, merely because it breathes the same oxygen molecules that we do.  :censored:

Chase her even when she's yours.

Wow.  Whoever got her that phone should have ensured it was one that could not do internet.

She's lucky to have family that gives a damn.  Growing up with her as a family member had to have been rough.  My heart goes out to UGP's family.

Horrible thought...what if UGP has nine lives?.

I don't know how much truth there is in this, but this was her family life according to her.

I read that and much of her other musings.  By her own admission she is incapable of feeling emotion which is a classic symptom of being a sociopath.  As such, her life story doesn't hold much weight with me.  My best friend has a bipolar with schizoaffective disorder sociopathic daughter.  I've heard it all and witnessed the destruction she has left behind many times.  She is so convincing that at times she would have me believing her stories until she would mess up and say something about a time period that I was there and knew for a fact that it was BS.

Notice how EVERYONE was against her?  Family, school, friends, church, etc.  She's the only decent person in the room.  Everyone else in the world are bullies and has repeatedly mistreated her.  If she'd stopped with the neighbor, or the dad, or a teacher, or even TWO of them, I might find some of it believable, but EVERYBODY?  There's one common denominator there and it is she.

I'm sure her family life was bad.  The stress of having a mentally ill child would make it such, especially back then.  Don't get me wrong, I do pity her, but I pity her family more.

What do we do with people such as UGP?  I don't have the answer.  Allowing her to run rampant on the Internet spinning her web of tales is not it.  She needs grounding in reality, or as much reality as she is capable of comprehending.

I suspect she's used up quite a few of the nine already.

I'm personally pessimistic about the subway cat, and at times think she'd actually be better off being what she's alleged herself so many times, dead.

However, there's this religious conscience, and that God, and only God, has the right to decide who's worth living, and who's not.

So.....I suppose it's best to keep her alive.

Well, yeah; for her own good, she obviously needs kept in certain physical restraints too.

I've also read them and my guess is that there's an underlying Borderline Personality Disorder along with whatever other neuroses she's picked up along the way.  It's a really sad story, sad enough that I tend to avoid UGP threads.  Most of my prayers go to the family who really have their hands tied.  They can't just go ahead and sign papers to get her committed, those laws were abused by too many people and thoughtlessly changed.  For people like UGP, she has to believe that there's something wrong with her before any treatment can effectively start.  Her family has to watch, helplessly for the most part, and hope against hope that UGP will get sane enough to realize she's insane.

Exactly.  She has to want to help herself, but has to be stable enough to comprehend her psychosis to do so.  It's a horrible situation for all involved.
