Senator blasts 'racist' remarks from TSU president

School President Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover spoke at an event hosted by the NAACP in Dickson Monday night. Her talk focused on education and democracy.

But State Sen. Jim Summerville, R-Dickson, said he walked out when Glover began talking about why people criticize President Barack Obama.

"We're dealing with a selfish government and a cruel electorate," Glover told the audience, according to a report in The Tennesseean.

"One that's not only yelling disrespect for our nation's president, but has shown its downright disregard, disrespect and absolute disdain for our president, and has made his skin color the No. 1 judging criteria," she said.

Summerville said the comments were hurtful to him and others in the room.

"Dr. Glover disparaged my constituents and the people of Tennessee by telling us we cannot disagree with the president of the United States. And if we do, we're racist. We're criticizing him because he's black," he said Wednesday

The race card is still in play, don't doubt it.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

The race card is all they have left, and it's so worn it can't be read.

Obama has been given a virtual pass compared to the things said about President Bush. Sure, conservative blogs are hard on Obama, but the MSM media said similar things about President Bush.  Even Fox News is easy on Obama compared to what was said about President Bush from the MSM.

I just love it when those pseudo-intellectual, allegedly-educated academicians start spouting off.

They show their true ignorance just in their use of language. I rarely pull out my Grammar Nazi hat and put it on, but when one of these yahoos gets up at a podium and starts talking shit about politics (massively ignorant in the process, which is witnessed by their blind racism that they themselves practice), I just can't help myself.

Anyone with an 8th grade education recognizes the singular noun criterion should be used in the sentence "...and has made his skin color the No. 1 judging criteria [sic]."

Stupid bitch, allegedly holding a doctorate, ought to trade in her sheepskin for something that shows how stupid she is. A dunce cap might work.

The NAACP is an evil bunch.  One of their leaders recently called Tim Scott, the only black person in the Senate, a ventriloquist's dummy, because he supports the Tea Party.

They also booted Allen West when he called some of the Congressional Progressive Caucus members, communists.

They are afraid of black people being associated with Republicans, let alone the Tea Party.
