So I am doing an exercise for my group meeting tomorrow...
 I am to write down as many accomplishments as I can.
This is supposed to help me see myself in a better light. It is not working to well for me.
How about you guys? Would thinking of past accomplishments make you feel better or worse.

Can being a career leech be considered an accomplishment?  If so, that should be about her whole list.

Phi Eta Sigma Honor society member.

Graduated College.

Did a lot of volunteer stuff like at the humane society and helped to organize the College Democrat toy drive, etc.
 
Part of the Disaster Recovery in Joplin MO.

Helped to keep a tiger calm in the studio when most everyone else was freaking.

Was made an Associate Producer while still in School.

Was a Reporter for the college TV Station.

Was PR Officer for the College Democrats .

Help to bring together a very large Anti bush rally in the heart of some VERY Red districts.
 
Am still active in such groups as Occupy.

Try padding it out with a detailed discussion of your capabilities and potential.  That should add a short sentence to it, effectively doubling the length of the list.

Well, that was pointless.

Using Her Ladyship Amber's standards for what's an "accomplishment," all I can come up with is that I was once a member of the Richard III Society, and as a little lad, was a dues-paying card-carrying member of the CLFRPTS.

Oh, and I've always been kind to animals and helpful to people in need.

Damn.  I forgot something.

I was also elected secretary of the "Little Kilowatts 4-H Club" when I was 10 years old; we learned about electricity and stuff, and I once won a white ribbon (fifth place) at the county fair for a table-lamp I'd made.

I'm sure--honestly and without jest--to this day, franksolich has been the only deaf secretary of a 4-H club, anywhere that 4-H exists.

Since I couldn't hear, I made everything up.....but my minutes were always accepted without amendment or reservation or correction.

You know, I was with Immigration & Naturalization for a couple of years, during the late 1990s, as records supervisor.

During that time, I acquired 19 "employee of the month" awards, which was damned near one per month.

Does that count?

What bothers me is that I had no trouble, no trouble at all, impressing lard-assed haemorrhoid-afflicted desk-sitting overpaid governmental employees, but I can't seem to impress the primitives.

(For the record, I left for wholly personal reasons--I was bored to death in that job--on good terms, and with awesome references.)

Surely, no bum has slept more soundly after taking in the knowledge that a rhinoceros is watching out for them while they sleep.

As far as I can tell, the only downside for the other bums would be if she accidentally steps on any of them in the dark.

I would say that she was a disaster and there was no recovery.  I thought she claimed to have gotten PTSD from what happened in the tornado aftermath?

She was as much a part of the recovery for Joplin as the people trapped in the stadium in NOLA were part of the recovery for Katrina.
