A new study by the World Bank and the International Finance Corp. found that the U.S. ranks well behind countries like Rwanda, Belarus and Azerbaijan in terms of how easy it is for an entrepreneur to start a new business. The U.S. did narrowly beat Uzbekistan, though.

The rankings were included in the organizations' joint study "Doing Business 2014: Understanding Regulations for Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses." The annual report, released in October, ranks the relative ease of creating a new business in 189 countries, looking at such measures as the number of procedures required, the time spent complying with them and the cost of doing so, among other factors.

Did you actually look at the study in question? "Ease in creating a new business" is only one subcategory.  Yes America placed below those countries in that subcategory.  In Rwanda it only takes 2 days to start a business,  in America it takes 5 days. Big deal.

The main point of the study is "Ease of doing business". America ranks 4th in the world, which is pretty great actually.

It's not easy to start a business or conduct business in America. A lot depends on the kind of business you want to start.  What products or services will you offer?  There are a lot of laws and regulations surrounding what you want to do.  You have to get permissions from local, county, state and federal organizations.  It also doesn't matter how inexperienced you are either, because there are no excuses for not knowing.

That's fine, I'm not here to say that it's easy or hard to do business in America. I'm only here to say that if you actually google the study in the OP you can read it in it's entirety. The conclusion the study comes to and the conclusion the article comes to are very different. That's my only point whatsoever.

So far on this forum I've posted nothing that was in conflict with my libertarian beliefs. I simply explained the findings of a certain study. I didn't say I agreed with it. I simply said I have the ability to google and to read.

I gave a one liner about evolution. And I stated that it was a good thing to pull out of Iraq. None of that goes against my Libertarian beliefs.

Obama and liberal Democrats are hell bent on creating an anti-business atmosphere. Betcha that was not the case 20 years ago. However, the US is still the number one place that foreigners want to immigrate to. Therefore, this piece of so called journalism is about as informative as p!ss on a hot rock.
