MARCO RUBIO lays out why to expect an ACA bailout

Bottom line... the ACA contains a clause, basically INSURANCE for the insurance companies that if their balance sheet doesn't zero the Federal Gov't will cut them a check. For ACA to work, young and healthy people have to be enrolled to subsidize the older or sicker that use healthcare frequently. If the young and healthy ignore ACA, there will be red ink at the insurance companies and teh FED (we) will pay.

I've heard that so far, only 11% of those who have signed up for Obamacare have never been insured before and their numbers aren't very high.  That means that 89% of those who have signed up, had insurance prior to Obamacare.

Where are the 30 million uninsured who were supposed to sign up?

Either that or the "affordable" health care is still far too expensive for them

Anything above totally free will be too expensive for them.

I can't even imagine how high the rates will be next year, after only the older and sicker folk sign up and the young people stay away in droves. The dems will probably push everything back past 2016.

There was a panel of young college age/recent grads on Fox tonight. The 3 all admitted to voting for Obama both times. All were totally disenchanted. One young woman said that she hopes that voters her age learn to educate themselves more before voting. None had a job yet and all were totally upset with Obama and his lies.

It's a problem that was built into Obamacare intentionally.  If the insurance companies aren't bailed out, they could go bankrupt and we'd be forced quickly into single payer government provided insurance.  If they are bailed out, then we still get screwed through higher taxes and more debt.

I looked up a plan for my BF. The cheapest plan for him was 286/month with $6500 deductible. If he chooses one with a $25 co-pay...the rate goes up to $365/month. There's no way he can afford that. He's better off taking that 286 a month and paying for a doctor's visit. Especially with the penalty only being 95.00 or so this year.

The sad thing is, if it's expensive now, it'll be worse when it's "free."
