Health teams, case managers, free WiFi.  It's enough to make a useless, fat **** cream her pants in joy.

Deferring to reality for a moment, this could all be one elaborate hallucination by a sedated inmate in a state mental institution.

Does she still have the laptop to utilize the free wifi? I don't think so. She's like Bobo having to wait until the library is open.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I have no clue.  The entire thing reads like a fevered dream from someone who's imagined they've hit some giant score of free shelter, furnishings, and mental health care.

Well I'm movin' on up,
 To the east side.
To a section 8 apartment in the sky.
 Movin' on up,
 To the east side.
I finally got a piece of the pie.

 Fish will be fryin' in the kitchen;
 Steaks burnin' on the grill.
 Took a whole lotta cryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now I'm up in the big leagues,
 Gettin' my turn at bat.
As long as I live, it's and my welfare,
And they're even giving me a cat

This is her American Dream.  We're not supposed to be laughing at her.

Could be French.

The Somolian refugees didn't even get treated this good. But they did displace the Mexicans in the meat packing plants in Nebraska.

Of course.

It's all made up, excepting for the part about Amber being homeless in Tucson.

If Tucson really were this generous to the voluntarily homeless, Tucson would have a population greater than that of Shanghai, China, as anybody and everybody homeless in North America would stampede there.

She's making this up, because she needs to show that she made the right decision, leaving the loving caring custody of her loving caring sisters back in Joplin.

Her exposure of getting put into the lap of luxury will thwart any and all future attempts of asking for alms. DUmmies will withhold donations as Amber will live better than most DUers do.

OK now look.  Her little tale just overreached with this one.  Just stop it Amber.  This is not happening.  There is no program anywhere in the world that provides for all of this.  The closest is Section 8, where you get a true shithole, the crappiest apartments in town with the most loathsome neighbors.

http://cms3.tucsonaz.gov/hcd/contact-section-8

Rental Assistance and Homeowner Assistance Program Application Status
Section 8                                         Is not currently accepting applications.
Public Housing                                   Now accepting applications for some. waiting lists.
Posadas Sentinel                               Now accepting applications.
Elderly Homeowner Repair Assistance     Is not currently accepting applications
Lead Hazard Control Program                Is not currently accepting applications
Deferred Loan Program                        Is not currently accepting applications

I believe Amber's in Tucson, living on the streets, but the rest of her tale, no.

How does bane feel about LFR ? Has anyone asked the bane on our forum who claims to be the DU bane ?
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Alex grabbed her toys and went home last night. Said you guys didn't play well with her. Oh, and somebody was laughing at her pho-toes (that she posted on the DUmp) and making fun of her ginormous mammaries while ignoring her ample butt.

I'm thinking that's not all she mans.

If she is real, of course.

DATE A LEZZY
Tune: "Take It Easy"

Well, I'm a Lady called Returns
Tryin' to lose my concerns
I've got sev'ral boyfriends on my mind
One that's now in prison
One that has gone missin'
None around that I can find

Date a lezzy
Date a lezzy
Don't let the fact that you're a girl
Make you dizzy

Lighten up, it's not the end
Don't even try to comprehend
Just find a chick to make your friend
And date a lezzy

Well, I'm standin' on a corner
In Tucson, Arizona
And such a fine sight to see
It's a lonely dyke
On a motorbike
Slowin' down, and then she says to me:

"Come on, Lady
Don't be fraidy
I gotta know if your sweet self
Is gonna date me

"I can say you won't be bored
You'll find new vistas to be explored
So hop on up and climb aboard
And date a lezzy!" . . .

Well, it's gettin' kinda late
And we're out on our date
Got a woman driver up in front
Sittin' right behind her
I need a reminder
She's just another . . . girl

Date a lezzy
Date a lezzy
Don't let the fact that you're a girl
Make you dizzy

Come on, Lady
Don't be fraidy
I gotta know if lezbo love
Will now persuade me . . .

Oh, I'm gettin' dizzy
I thought I'd date a lezzy

Spacious new living quarters.
Fine furniture.
Beautiful wood floor.

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

 Lady Freedom Returns (6,555 posts)

WOW! I got a lot done before noon today! All good too!

First was an early morning meeting with my health team in the program I am in. Got to meet my new case manager. She will be the one to help keep me active and watch for signs of increasing depression. We will be seeing a lot of each other.

My physician says the latest x-rays show good results and he sees no reason to not clear me to start ultra sound treatments in Feb.

And I got to take a look at my apartment this morning too! I is a lovely studio with WiFi access. They have repainted all the walls with a nice, very light tan. And since I happen to mention that I was not a big fan of carpeting, they went with just keeping the lovely wood floor. They usually replace it every time someone moves out, but they decided not with what I said in our first meeting. I can not be more pleased!

The complex has a pool and a newly remodeled laundry. All the machines are new.

This place has a bus stop right in front and it is three blocks from a grocery store, two really. And in the opposite direction , just two block from my Doctor offices and pharmacy.

I am having a great day! I hope some of these good vibes I am having can get picked up by everyone on the Board! Everyone deserves to feel this good!

I've seen some very nice and even brand new subsidized housing. I have even seen them with swimming pools. The complexes with pools did not start out subsidized but later took on the state clients after the economy had issues.

It's amazing that people with no ambition in life are able to live better then people that work their asses off for a living.

My niece's home WAS very nice until she rented it out as a Section 8.  All that lovely profit she oodled over went to repairs after the renters moved out though.  LOL  They have shockingly nice housing for Section 8 these days.
I've known some pathological liars in my time, but 0 takes the prize.
