Then Obama showed up, he put his staff in the water and the water was clean.

I can think of a better place for him to put his staff.

Barry's staff is more or less there now.

Especially Carney.

A little update for you dummies... the "crisis", if it ever was one, is over.  Everybody has clean water now... except for a small area down Buffalo way that has a problem with flushing the main. Us WVians are none the worse for wear. We got a little smelly from not having a shower for a few days, but that was about it. St. Albans restaurants made out like you wouldn't believe. January is the slowest month and my buddy from back in my days in the food biz told me the other day that he grossed more in 6 days than he normally does the whole month of January and February. Said his employees made big time OT and loved it.

Turns out that a water main break up the hill from the storage tank leaked water down underneath the tank and when the temps got below zero it flash froze and punctured the tank from underneath and cracked the containment dike. Basically the water company, yes the same water company that got contaminated, caused the leak!!!!!

For you ignorant dummies... that means the water company is liable if proven in court and I think it will be. Man this is gonna be fun when it hits the courts. The dumbasses that are suing are gonna find their water bill going up to cover the costs of the lawsuits!!!

Oh yeah... the company that stored the chemical just filed for bankruptcy since they were shut down by the government. Now a good number of people will be without a job. Hope you dummies are happy now.

Thanks, I.B.  Glad to hear a fellow Mountie is fine.  I do miss home alot.  One thing the DUmmies will NEVER understand is self-reliance.  A perfect case in point is the fact they run to their computer and ask for advice from their fellow DUmbasses when they get something as simple as a hangnail.

Thanks Hillneck!   :cheersmate: :cheersmate:

I know about the MIC, I used to have to make deliveries to the (former) Union Carbide plant in Institute, made me a might nervous to be driving under the pipes with the "MIC" label on them.  LOL.  Even spent a few moments in the "Plywood Palace" at Building 330 during 9-11, thanks to a bunch of no-flying ragheads in NYC, and a poor schlep in a private plane with no radio and nowhere to land (airports were closed).  WV Air National Guard almost splashed his ass in the Kanawah River, escorted him to Yeager instead.

Mrs. Diesel is from WV, and yes, they will give you all they have if you need it, all you have to do is ask.  HOWEVER, stealing or looting WILL get you shot, incentive enough not to do it.

DUmmie Teamster Jeff claims to be from Cabin Creek, which is SOUTH of Charleston, along the Kanawah River, and UPSTREAM from the spill. and from my understanding, the spill was on the Elk River, which is northeast of Charleston.  How is he being effected, outside from being a DUmmie?

Doubt Barry will be anywhere near there, WV didn't vote for him, either time.

^5 for the real story, Perky.  I LOVE the St. Albans/Dunbar area south of the river, however, you couldn't pay me enough to live on the north (Charleston metro) side.

IOW, something MANDATED by Barry's EPA!  Instead of just digging it out of the ground and spraying a little water on it, it has to be WASHED in some type of toxic chemical to reduce ash, something the scrubbers at the power plant already do!

 :thatsright:

I remember that DD. Airport is right down the hill from the state capitol and man the WV ANG was paranoid!!!! Guy in the plane was damned lucky. I was at the capitol that day on business with the boss and we walked outside and here was these state cops with shotguns telling everybody to evacuate right damned now!!! Ran our ass right off the campus and I do mean ran. I ain't never seen the boss move that fast!!!!

The St. Albans/Nitro/Tornado/Poca area is a good place to live. I wouldn't live in Dunbar/South Charleston now... I did live in SC for a few years until I moved back down the river. I damn sure wouldn't live in Charleston/Kanawha City and I'd be homeless before I'd go live out Cabin Creek.  :rotf:

BTW DD... I was not aware Cabin Creek had city water. Maybe they do now. Never used to. If they do, it would have to be from that WV American water plant.  :cheersmate:
