She's one of those people I would describe as having pseudo-intelligence.  She knows a whole lot of shit about nothing really important, and she's gotten through some liberal college and doctorate program with a lot of useless information about useless crap and absolutely zero common sense. 

Agreed wholeheartedly.  Also, colleges do a real disservice to their students on the graduate levels these days by having an overpriced echo chamber for seminars.  No one learns debate, argument, logic - any of the tools that really spur and cement learning.  All that's there is a superficial knowledge of the world along with zero curiosity to delve into the things that don't make sense or sound right.
