And that was also fairly shallow, per USGS 10 km.

Be aware, you could have aftershocks,

I live in Florida, and did not know about this.  I appreciate what she is doing.  Now I can rush out and buy emergency supplies, preparatory for the potential aftershocks she has warned me to be aware of.

or not.
This too shall pass.

Yes, the Great Florida Quake of '14 is a tragedy, but luckily we have a nutcase on the job:

Ok I want you people to understand something right now

in a regular, every day quake, you got logistics issues... which translates into :

FOOD,
WATER
FUEL
MEDICAL SUPPLIES
TENTS.
DOGS
RESCUERS that can self maintain

yep the list familiar from many a quake and other disaster.

Here they also have people inside the exclusion zone. From a TRIAGE perspective it is not that people are afraid to go in there to get them. Just that going in will get more people killed... now or later... really does not matter.

As an Emergency Worker it gets to the point that you have to give up... and it might seem cruel... given thousands are still in the zone from what I can read... but this is the reality of it.

And typing this is hard, because these people LOOK healthy, can talk to you, and all that.

This is the way it is... cruel, cold yes... unfortunately the needs of the few do not override the needs of the many.. even if the few are a few thousand people.

Nor would I ask any crew member of mine to go in... with or without equipment. I would not ask that... either.

It goes without saying... NOBODY DESERVES THIS, but this is the very cold and bitchy reality.

Why I was hopping for these people, but as long as this goes on... yes somebody pretty high up has made that decision... and no, it has nothing to do with capitalism but all to do with TRIAGE. Oh and incidentally if I happened to be inside the exclusion zone... I pretty much expect to be left behind... that is the way it is.

Florida earthquake?  There was one?  I guess Nadin scooped all the broadcast and cable networks I saw today.

DUmmies don't need ammo when welcoming their new tyranical overlords. You know, the ones who "never let a crisis go to waste"... :whatever:

I wonder why the MSM is keeping this Florida quake off the front pages.

Because Florida has small Earthquakes all the time.  I grew up near one of the faults.  We got one we felt every few years.  They mostly couldn't be distinguished from a train going past except that the Earthquake didn't rattle the cabinets for as long.

And yet nothing about the earthquake in Nebraska a few days back. Granted it was barely below 3.0 but it was a quake. She must hate the Huskers or something.

Who knew she was in Florida?

Retire to the sunshine state of FL. ?????

Small adjustments for us Yankees, to date few Pythons of 18 feet have been found in New Englanders back yards, not a one crockagater in the garage.  We live atop a granite base so a sink hole is rare.  99% of the population speaks English,  we too have earthquakes every day but most we don't even notice.

We have open carry and CCW here, a small hurricane every few years, little snow compared  to other parts of the nation.  Summers are hot days mostly, --had to use the air conditioning 5 days total this past summer, nights are usually cool.  Very few Tornado's, just 3 iconic blasts in 20 years that did any damage.

Never know about the weather as I write it is 21 degrees out side and snowing  AT 8 AM.
Forcast for tomorrow is 50 degrees--WTF ??????

My ideal retirement home is in Key West and live on a house boat winters and summers up here to also live on a house boat.------Come on Lotto-- only way for us to do that.
