Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin (D) spent his entire State of the State address talking about the state’s growing heroin problem. “You will hear from me on many of these topics next week when I present my budget. Today I will focus exclusively on another matter of great concern to our state’s future,” Shumlin said. “The crisis I am talking about is the rising tide of drug addiction and drug-related crime spreading across Vermont.”.....

As you know, Vermont generations ago was a rock-ribbed reliably Republican state; one of the nicest, cleanest, unspoiledest places in America.

And then the hippies started moving there, to escape the congestion, the crime, the corruption, the high taxes, of their native states.

Why does every place Democrats, liberals, and primitives move to, and take over, turn into a slum?

The same occurs with groups of immigrants. 
They supposedly come here to escape the drudgery and hardships of their old home, only to demand we change to what they just left.
After being given free stuff, they turn into reliable dem voters.
Colorado used to be a good Conservative state until multitudes of californications moved there to escape that tax hellhole.

Arrogance. Not that its the only reason, there are many, but its as noteworthy as any of the others.

"Socialism will work, they were just doing it wrong previously" for example.

With DUmmies, its never that the policies did it. Its always that the people enacting and administering those policies were doing it wrong, but "we can start fresh here in this new and untainted place, and do it right".

One can not learn from a mistake, without acknowledging a mistake, and they rarely do.

DUmmy Raven, who is Pitt's mother and who pays all his living expenses, recently required Pitt, his tattooed bride, and their spawn to move from high-cost Boston to much lower-cost Rindge, New Hampshire.

It's interesting about heroin in Vermont. Never would have thought it.

Lots of hippie white democrats in Vermont, but almost no 0bamaites.

Still, though, DUmmy cali's addiction is to pain pills, and rural areas like East Hardwick usually have a "pain clinic" pill mill available to local addicts.
