Hi, First time posting in the group...
Some might know I suffer from PTSD. Well I have been looking into some new things for it. I was wondering if anyone know some first hand stuff about some new treatments they are doing with ultrasound??

My Care provider says it could very well help with the depression and make dealing with the issues that caused my PTSD easier. Just wondered if anyone else knows any more about it.

I went to Google to see what I could find. If I were more capable I'd give you a conclusion about what I just read. It was interesting but I'm not sure I understand all of the brain stimulation up and down. Let me know what you get out of the article and I'll talk about it with you.

I think the door has been opened to new mental health treatments. I'm on some experimental drug (along with 3 others). I think it's a good thing, other than the cost. The experimental drug isn't covered by insurance.

I've never read/heard anything about ultrasound. If your Care provider likes it, then I say go for it. At least it isn't chemically altering your brain.

PTSD from a tornado who didn't even affect her personally...

Our soldiers go to war and majority comeback and manage to deal with life just fine.

This leach is really getting on my nerves.. grrrr :censored:

She just needs to disable the safety switch, shove her head in there and go for it.

Actually, there's a really effective treatment for PTSD and depression called EMDR that's worked really well for soldiers. My therapist uses either a long row of lights that goes back and forth or a thing you hold in your hands that buzzes back and forth. I don't like the hand one. Of course, since it does work, one has to really want to get better instead of wallowing in drugs and pity.

I would venture to guess that experimental drugs are free; hence, experimental.

I worked at some less-than-skilled jobs after high school in the early 90s and met a few people who had volunteered to be human lab rats in the 70s and 80s. 

The results were... interesting.
