I've seen it, she's chased people all over the internet who dared to say that her writing was horrible, pedantic, drivel. It's not just that. Her writing is pure dogshit. The DUmp Monkeys think that shes the reincarnation of some dead Ann Richards wannabe Texan liberal broad, and I don't care if she is, at least Nance Greggs plays this role to internet fame and fortune- DUng Heap flavor of the month, celebrity which she couldn't even handle so she ran off like a coward. By the way, her DUchebag zombie is "Summer Hathaway" which hasn't been getting much play lately.

If you are a sincere follower of the Christ who was beaten, tortured, scourged, crowned with thorns, nailed to a cross, and left to die in excruciating agony, don’t you think equating someone wishing you “Happy Holidays” with persecution is a bit over the top? And if you believe that Christ suffered all of this to save your soul, aren’t you glad He wasn’t the whiny little pissant you are? If He were, He would have bailed on the whole idea of saving your ass the first time someone wished Him well using phraseology He didn’t care for.

The Ten Commandments did not include “Thou Shalt Not Be Gay.” Being as God is pretty much omnipotent and all, he could have had those Commandments go all the way up to Eleven – if he’d wanted to. But He didn’t. Maybe He figured it wasn’t as big a deal as you think it is. But then maybe you think your priorities should supersede His.

There is no mention in the New Testament of Jesus ever commenting on the “sin” of homosexuality. Do you think maybe it just slipped His mind? Do you think He was crucified, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, sat at the right hand of God – and then did a face-palm while exclaiming, “Holy shit! I knew I forgot something while I was down there”?

The teachings of Jesus were meant to be a complete meal, not a serving suggestion. If you think that feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and sheltering the homeless are merely pick-and-choose, Column A/Column B side dishes, you’ve apparently missed the point of the menu entirely.

Greggs' little rants were cute when she focused on the real problem - republicans. But when she decided to personally attack anyone who criticized Obama for any reason as the enemy, she made her own bed. She left in a huff when her posts no longer made it to the greatest page. She couldn't stand the fact that those she insulted wouldn't rec her threads.

In other words, too much ego and too little talent to back it up.

84. Okay, I'll discuss this, though it will be a repeat of something I said to Nance's sister.


Nance and I are friends in other venues. I fully intend to visit her and Jeff this coming summer. She and I do not agree completely about Obama and we are both aware of where those spots are. I don't try to change her mind and she doesn't try to change mine. We're able to disagree on certain topics and still remain friends. I don't see much purity brigade in that. I did not see what caused people to knock her off the pedestal I'm fairly sure she never wanted.
 
Trust me when I say, I've never been anyone's minion, mean or otherwise. But then I've no clue who you might mean and please don't take that as an opening to enlighten me. I've seen this game played many times and not just with Nance.

That hole you're digging yourself into is getting deeper all the time.

My comment on that thread ("Jesus Hussein Christ. Don't you gays and lesbians start putting your two cents in, when good-minded people are trying to defend your rights - uh, I mean the rights of "your ilk".") was in response to a poster who replied to NoFuryLike's post by referring to HER as "one of her ilk" when she objected to people attempting to speak on behalf of ALL LGBTers.

That comment of mine is immediately followed by a "thank you" from NoFuryLike - who, in case you don't know her, is a lesbian and has been extremely active in advancing the cause of "her ilk" for decades.

The comment "Don't you gays and lesbians start putting your two cents in, when good-minded people are trying to defend your rights ..." was clearly a joke - because, believe it or not, there was a time on DU when people didn't have to post a thingy every time they were being obviously sarcastic. People "got it" without having to be told.

NoFuryLike and I have been friends for years, on DU and elsewhere. Had she thought my comment was anything BUT sarcasm, she would never have thanked me for saying it - in fact, quite the opposite.

But keep trying. Surely with all of those anti-LGBT rants you're so sure I've posted over the years, you can come up with something more substantial than taking my comments out of context and trying to spin them into something they're not - especially when anyone who reads those comments in context can plainly see that that is precisely what you're doing.
