But it seems to me that some libs are manipulators, and some just enable manipulators by allowing themselves to be manipulated. Then there are the bi-manipulation libs who not only manipulate other libs, but also allow themselves to be manipulated.
What is the secret to this mystery of lib manipulativeness ?

I use a simple, yet 100% infallible, system to divide leftist collectivists into two categories: They are either evil or stupid.

The evil libs are manipulators, and the stupid libs are manipulated.
