5. Oh nothing, local story

so it does not matter to DU. I just felt like pointing out that it is fun when one breaks outside your door. The gas mileage though is excellent.

9. No, but I was told that none of my local stories matter to DU

including the breaking bus crash yesterday at Fallbrock, which MSNBC broke this morning, almost 24 hours late. So if a bus crash is not breaking news if I post it, trust me, this qualifies even less. Suffice it to say, nobody got killed or injured, and the gas bill will be zero.

Nads is looking for some hidden posts isn't she?

Second thread where she mentions the local news story without mentioning it:

Ok, so today we went to barnes and Noble to read some magazines
and drink some coffee.

Well, one of the photog magazines was talking of live view and how it can increase the sharpness of photos. Today at a local news story (outside my door) the light was sucky as hell. So I took a photo with view finder, and then a couple in life view, and yes, they are sharper. The trick is that the mirror is locked in the up position, reducing the mechanical noise. It also means all the image goes straight to the sensor.

Yup, teach old dog new tricks here.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/103624625

The takeaway here being of course that Nads goes to B&N to read and not pay for magazines, which is the leftist way.

2. I use the OVF for the most part

since I keep one eye on the view finder and one on my surroundings, I find the Live View quite distracting. Perhaps it is that old dog thing.

One eye on the view finder, and one on her surroundings.   Scary, I know.

She's really upset about that local news story stuff. I think she is going to ride this horse straight to a tombstone once Skinner gets sufficiently bored with it.

Yes, of course, all professional photographers use mirror lock-up.   Not.
On a steady tripod, maybe. Hand held, almost never.

She's like that relative of the cannibal Wild Bill - both eyes on the same side of her nose.

If you've seen nadin's photography, you can believe it. Incredibly bad.

Blurry, poorly lit, poorly framed, unfocused, boring - it's like she's kidding when she talks about The Good Rig and her expertise as a "photog".

And the ones she posts are touted as the very best of many hundreds she takes at every devil strip grass fire or deadbeat march.

Her photos would be hilarious for their shittiness even if they weren't produced by the DUmp's foremost lunatic.

Nutcase nadin's talent as a photographer is matched only by her unique skills at interpersonal relationships.

GOBUCK's thoughts are pretty much spot on.
Most field photography is opportunistic. Teh gNads can get those.
Her problem is her inability to make basic camera adjustments, then post-process for best results.
In other words, she really doesn't have a clue how to work with the camera. None.
The DUmp does have some good photo people, I've seen what they do.
Teh gNads, is not one of them.
Her claim as a "photog", stems from being "published", in a free on-line "newspaper".
She's better off with the phone camera or a P&S.

She's a fresh cow-pie in the field. You know you want to kick it. You now it's gonna stink.
Gotta do it anyway.

70. That's still pretty incoherent

Not what you'd expect from a reporter. No-one on DU was "going nuts that little to no details were included" - I can't see that the story was posted here at all. Not surprising, since it's a non-story. And yet she (or whoever is controlling the Facebook and DU accounts) claims that we were wanting details of a 'bomb scare'. It just doesn't read like something written by a reporter - confusing English, and no understanding of what an interesting news story is.
You go now. You won't be sorry. Promise.

It is kind of a curious thing. Nadin has her good rig and all. The DUmp has their photo contest and whatnot.

I've looked at the photos and assuming they are all original work I think there is pretty good work involved.

But not Nadin, which seems odd to me.

She dons an exposure suite and goes into the bowels of hells half acre to get close up and personal with doom and destruction.

And yet she seems to get ignored.

I suppose nothing is fair in life and nadin gets the broad end of things, right in the teeth, all the time.

69. Hijacked? Doubtful since there's this on Facebook...

Nadin Brzezinski
So we come home for a bomb scare, and the local news (we is, just needed to get gear, but were joined by TV types) breaking all around us. What is funny though, is not the social commentary, call it a hunch, I think it was drugs but that will never be admitted in a nice neighborhood, but actually the bullies at DU. They get their wish, and now they are all going nuts that little to no details were included, poor little bullies, they are on parade!!!

It is hilarious. The joke is on them. If my county burns DU will be the last place I would post the news. So far, I have sat on a couple national stories, and will continue to. They get mostly what they want and continue to attack. They are vicious and they don't even get it.

In the meantime, they make the site continue to suck in major ways. Oh and the Alexa ratings continue to go down. I expect the spike by elections, but the glory days are over. With some admins and owners facilitating this the place is less valuable if he wants to sell. This is what we call self fulfilling prophecies.
