Reality check of Phil Robertson for DUchebag lurkers.

There is no point in posting links and quotes because of the ease in finding them.  But I would like to address KEY FACTS, not opinions, about the Robertson "controversy".

1. Despite the fact the DUches continuous notions that he said it on A&E's time, COMPLETELY FALSE!  He made those statements in an interview he did on his own time.  A&E, nor Gurney Productions, had any responsibility in the booking of the interview Robertson gave to GQ.  Thus, in no way A&E was a platform for comments he made to the magazine.  Which brings about #2...

2.  Reality stars and media stars are 2 different things.  One posted the "fact" about Martin Bashir's and Alec Baldwin's ordeals and that people who support Robertson's free expression are the one who are against it.  First, Bashir's did INDEED used MSNBC as a platform when talking about shitting in Sarah Palin's mouth, and as for Baldwin, he thought he can get away with homosexual name calling.  He is well known for rage outbursts, even called his then 8 year old daughter a fat pig, and he found out that being a news personality is a whole lot different than a entertainment celeb.  Don't even get me started on Dixie Chicks because the ordinary american people stifled them, not the government who are legally bound to make no law against free speech.

3.  DUchebags, I hate to say this but Phil Robertson is WINNING this war.  To steal a quote from one of your heroes, George Bernard Shaw, "The secret to success is to offend the greatest number of people."  Glen Beck was successful.  His ratings during his FNC reign match that of O'Reily, and has even on many occasions surpassed Oprah's ratings to the very end.  Rush Limbaugh is still the king of talk, no matter how much shit you throw at him, or how many sponsors he loses.  But you won't give up.  Probably the only way you can ever have hope to win is if you assassinate these guys, which you are too big a pussies to try.

What this DUchebag fails to mention is all reality stars have one thing in common, it is called a contract.  And usually 99% of the time of signing reality shows, the contract does NOT dictate what they do when the work is done.  A&E could be breaching contract.

Their problem, as it always is, is their false assumptions about decent civilized people.  I'm sure old Phil had some great lawyers working on his contract and A&E will eventually relent or pay him a lot of money and lose the only show they have that has any viewers.

I had to come back to this because this kinda has my undies in a bunch.     Phil Robertson (you know, Duck Boy) IMO is not a fake anything.  The guy is as real as they come.  He considers homosexuality a sin because the Bible considers it a sin.  He has made a commitment to his Lord and he is willing to give up money and fame to fulfill that commitment.  (I don't expect riqster to understand that concept)

Are you aware that one of Phil's grandchildren is biracial...you know, like, oh, that guy in the WH that you love so much?  He was adopted by Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie.  He was chosen.  They didn't get stuck with the kid...they wanted him very much.  They both have said that he was the best gift they ever received.
