From the Declaration, as pointed out to me by 2004 Constitution Party Candidate Michael Peroutka one night in an Annapolis bar (my emphasis added):
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.
If we have these rights, and having the right to keep and bear arms for this exact purpose qualifies, then think why the elitists DON'T want us to have them...
I was on a flight to Albuquerque last year, and a retired SF guy sat next to me for part of the flight. He made the mention that if AlGore had won in 2000, there were people ready to march on DC. He also felt we were long overdue for a coup. I think if the the DUmmies are duped into electing BHO, I think this scenario WILL play out. Maybe not on 20 January 2009, but probably soon thereafter. Especially if taxes go up.
Plus, this guy still has his license to kill. I'm not going to question that kind of credential.
