I may need the help of a fellow DU'ER in Nor-Cal/Sac area.


 Its difficult for me to post this, but I am running out of options. I am being forced out of my current residence and could be homeless by end of month.
 
The good news I will be out and done with tea bag landlord. The bad news is this came at begining of month with no warning.
 
Getting a bit discouraged too. I have been communicating with local churches and coming up empty. I get lots of prayers, but nothing encouraging.
 
I guess this is not a good place to come to but I consider this my only family--at the moment. Can't talk about life and emotions to a tea bagger who is only good at bashing Mr. O, playing computer games all day, and watching her favorite episode of O'Liely.
 
Though they don't know my politics, I am a TRUE progressive and thrive on intelligent conversation, people with common sense, and those who love their fellow man.
 
The stress in my stomach is getting increasely more painfull as I have never had to experience this ever. I care about people and show compassion to those around me.
 
I thought about this, and decided I needed to reach out to my fellow DU-er's since I am getting increasingly scared. Just wondering if there is something out there in what I know as my only family at the moment. Need to see if this can help keep me from falling apart totally. I'm a fighter, but sometimes you can't do these things alone.
 
Not sure what else to say. I'll keep it there and see what happens.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, if it's work, or housing, or companionship, or all three.

Been very stressful since I came back from China. Things were looking up, but then crashed again.
 
People who understand and care since I am short in that dept. But mainly a temp housing situation is what I will need...Food, is ok. Someone from a church did want to put gas in my car today. So they filled my tank. I was greetful for that.

9. my first thought: is your landlord complying with housing laws?

I know he/she is a teabagger and you would be better off out of there, but if he/she hasn't followed the rules, you may be able to delay.
 
He/she must give you a 30 day notice that is properly completed and filed.

If you have that notice, you may be able to get housing help through Catholic Charities or The Salvation Army (yes, I know that many people here do not deal with SA, but this is an emergency).
 
I know that I would be paralyzed with fear. But it sounds as if you have been active in looking for a solution.
 
Please check craigslist for rooms and shares. You might find something very reasonable.

It's destroying their lives and the family, really hard on them. They've come to hate the area they live in, considered going wild and crazy and leaving but they can't afford it.

To ease their mental anguish among other things they have decided to let him retire and she will work, they will sell their home and hope to move to another area with less of the troglogdytes.

It has gotten bad for them, they are union, progressive, etc. but it's giving them so much distress. They are surrounded by stupidity, literally, they need more as you say.

Just being around and working with the baggers is torture. They think it's going to get worse. They're giving up a good home to get out and leave.

Bolding mine.  This is Washington state?  Being overrun by teabaggerz? 

What is it with these teabaggers?  Every holiday thread over there had descriptions of them running amok, surrounding them, no way to escape the hordes of teabaggers.  And now Freshwest says it's going to get worse!

Here's a fun exercise for your friends!  Have them add up all the union dues they've ever paid, and calculate how much they'd have today if they'd saved that money, and invested it along the way, even in the most conservative of funds.  I hope these jackasses are the first to get kicked off their "exempt" health insurance plan for union retirees when the idiots running Obamacare realize they need more dough and yank that football.

Update On My Housing Crisis
   
First item, I just want to thank those of you who have sent me messages and offerings of support. You don't realize how much it means to me.

At the moment, still in limbo for alternative housing. I am hoping to hear something from someone here in Sacramento, but I'm trying to be as proactive as I possibly can.

I've been trying to get a hold of someone in my old stomping grounds in Eugene. I am will to go back to Oregon, if its my only hope. Though I can't find an old contact, I am contacting churches in Eugene for options/contacts there.

Stress level is at an all time high on this end. Trying to keep faith that I'm going to get through this, but mentally, its taking a toll on me.

Need to be out of this situation as soon as possible as tea bagger landlord is is really giving me shit. Had conversation with her friend yesterday, and she said she would tell her to "backoff". We are truly talking about a mental midgit here.

But for thoise of you who have offered your thoughts and prayers, I thank you. If you are in Eugene area, I am willing to return since I know area well. PM me if you know of alternative.

It's infuriating.  They trash churches, Christians and Christianity, and all related traditions all day long in the most vicious terms.  But, when hard times fall, they turn right to the churches in a heartbeat.  ****ing assholes.
