Well, we technically did, in Operations Torch and Dragoon, but they understandably weren't even trying.

Mr. Scummio should read "The Knights of Bushido," a chronicle of Japanese war crimes.  They were in some ways even more vile than the murderous Nazi Einsatzgruppen.  Nor were the hands of their Navy clean, but that particular book is mainly about the systematically brutal misdeeds of their land forces.

They all paid an extremely heavy, but richly-deserved, price for that once the ass-kicking boot got on the other foot, of course, which is the way of the world.
