By the way, I had to think, because Carl threw such a novel, unexpected idea in here.

When I say "the franksolich award will go to a primitive who didn't win anything," remember, a primitive who places in the bottom half of the top twenty, Top DUmmies #11-20, isn't really considered as having won anything, because those ten primitives have to share one award.

In other words, the franksolich award (not its final name, by the way) will go to a primitive who (a) wasn't selected a Top Ten DUmmie or (b) didn't win any of the special awards.

Coach's Choice Award. The CCA.

That's good.

I think I'll call it that.

Franksolich is now a legendary name to the DUmmies, up there with Teh Rove.

LAST CALL

ONLY 3 HOURS LEFT

Please get those votes, or changes in votes already cast, now, folks!

The polls close at supper-time, after which this thread will be locked.

I'm not sure at which point Mr. Wiggum will stop accepting votes, but both of us are in the same time zone, so 6:00 p.m. central time is a pretty good guess.

It would be fun to come with the initials ACA.
After all, both would represent losers.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Just voted. Sorry late to this game.
What can't be put off until tomorrow isn't worth dong anyway.

Nada for two, would have been three but she should not win three.  It came out of the gate fast, kept going and then provided a strong finish.

Of course Doug for his monumental screw up and general asssholishness.

The Steve: Doug.

Group had to be the moles.

The polls are now closed, but I decided against locking this thread for further replies; I'll keep it open.

This thread, and the accompanying nominations thread, will stay "stickied" to the top of the DUmpster until Mr. Wiggum gives me the list of winners, after which both threads will be stashed up in the DUmping Ground forum.

After Mr. Wiggum gives me the list of winners--he has until Saturday, December 21, to do so--I'll then "sticky" the schedule of releases here.  It's after all near Christmas, and people are busy in real life; this way, they won't have to hang around waiting, already knowing in advance when an award's coming out.

Until I know the winners, the only schedule I can give at the moment is that the bottom half (one single award) of the top twenty DUmmies will come out early afternoon Christmas Eve, and the awards will end with the Top DUmmie of 2013 in early afternoon New Year's Eve.

What are the exit polls showing, and is there a paper trail?

With 0% of precincts reporting, Doug won the Steve.

I will be so happy when this election is over.

Great DUmpmonkeys, like nadin and rsmithnumbers, are embarrassed by their high standing in the competition and have been in semi-hiding, hoping to reduce their vote totals.

As soon as voting closes, they'll be back with a vengeance and the DUmp will be so much better for it.

Also, the flash-in-the-pan posers and trolls, like that Pretzel guy, will disappear.

Annual Coach's Award.

I like it but here is my thought...

I think you are right. Doug gets the Steve but where does that leave Steve? At this point I'm regretting that I didn't nominate Omaha Steve for for the Rob, simply because he made a total fool of himself running for office and really didn't flinch.

Steve did get my vote for the willie but I have to say that there are others more deserving of that award.

It's too bad you weren't around March-May 2012, when, because the big guy was mucking up his own campaign so much, friends of his got involved, and the grasswire primitive had an apoplexic fit.

That was the "big" event last year, 2012, comparable to walrus-face's muck-up this year.

Now that was a grand old time.  It's a shame none of the Friends of Steve Dawes bothered to save his website as it was during 2012.

I think this explains much of the resentment the primitives have against us.

I make a motion that we have an honorary coaches award...it will be at Franks desecration for the primitive of his choice.
It will kind of be like a best of the rest for those DUmbasses that got so close but were yet so far away.

What a great reminder of the days when coach was on the round red sodomite's trail, finally tracking him down and knocking him off.

Grasswipe has tried her best to prove it, but has never come close.

It was indeed a job well done, and the whacking of dear Andy is one of the most entertaining episodes in DUmp history.
