3. I wish we were confiscating guns...it's time.

All instances of gun violence have one thing in common.... a gun.

Ban the sale and manufacture of ALL ammunition and then begin confiscating.....

Just a reminder, folks. While DU does have a gun rights forum, it's filled with anti-rights NAZIs, like this one. They are not banned or have their posts hidden. However, on the Pro-gun take away forum, any post that is pro-gun is removed and the poster faces banning. This is free speach from the leftists.

Violence.

Take away the gun, you don't take away the violence.

And many, many people have been killed without guns.

So how long will it be before they start confiscating the mentally ill? That too is a common thread among all mass shootings going all the way back to the bell tower.

Come and get em.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Ban the sale and manufacture of ALL ammunition and then begin confiscating.....people.

FIXED Numb-nutz.

I know, right?! you could actually argue that the militarization of the police began on that day when they realized they needed SWAT teams and better firepower than revolvers and shot guns could provide.  Leave it to the mentally ill to ruin it for everyone else.

I was visiting relatives in Texas when this went down.

I just read the whole story again.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.
