I enjoy classical music quite a lot. That being said, much of the music for them has already been written and recorded. My daughter actually likes Vivaldi, especially the winter stanza, she was surprised to find out the music is almost three hundred years old. She routinely used Spanish music for her figure skating.
This thing between high art and low art? Every one of the DUmmies would call Shakespeare high art. Shakespeare had to get the average Londoner to come into the Globe to watch his shows or the Globe wouldn't have been open for long. I am not saying he didn't have patrons, he most assuredly did, but that didn't change the fact that he needed ticket sales.
