Why are internet comments sections so right wing?

As Richard Stallman said in a recent talk I attended at San Jose State, it used to be believed that the Internet would counter censorship and enhance democracy.

Sadly, the Internet is too often used to ENHANCE the right wing status quo.

They prefer the cloak of anonymity. I live in one of the most liberal states in the US, but if you read our online news comments sections, you'd think we were a bunch of ignorant, misogynist, racist, Obama-hating gun nuts, because right wing ass hats can't say the stupid shit they do online in the real world without some reasonable person shutting them down with a sane counterargument. This is the only way they can be "right".

Hey DUmmies...read the writing on the wall.  Or in your case, the comment sections outside your little MSNBC bubble.

I'm just going off the clock posting at Yahoo.  Looks like they have found out about my latest work from home scheme.

So of course the RW is happy to hire those companies to post their crap.

The people they hire are freelancers for the most part, paid a pittance per post.

Having observed comment sections, yahoo for instance, you have hit the nail squarely. I think this is far more prevalent than we suspect. Sock puppets being our internet comment version of "money talks."

And about those darn Koch Bros. expense vouchers, how do you claim the money orders given to Skinner for donations and stars to give away when you mole over there?  I didn't realize that was reimbursable.  :thatsright:

So because Barry caused all sorts of unemployment, the RW has a lot of hungry people willing to post for cash?
If the Democrats were serious about this, they could shut us all up by helping the economy and putting Americans back to work.

Don't believe me? Look at all the posts unemployed DUmmies rack up.  It is in your power to drown out conservative opinion by putting people back to work. But you won't.

and, kestrel91316...I'm not paid a pittance per post. I command a much higher fee, because I'm that good. I make $5 bucks a post at news sites, and $25 a post for my DU/KOS moles. I work full time, but I pay my rent with Koch Bothers conservative posting. I even won a free Disney vacation for getting Taverner Tombstoned.

Remember, I work for the 1%...we pay a heck of a lot better than you unwashed Occupy hippies.

From the isolated refuge of the DUmp, a place where just saying, "Hello, I'm a Republican" will get you banned, they complain about people having opinions. They're good little Stalanists.

If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

I'm kind of hoping that the one new poster (lorelai), sticks around.
At least he/she didn't play the usual DUmpmonkey games.
I'd like to know his/her take on all this.

Why are internet comments sections so right wing?

Because logic, reason, and facts.

Why is the DUmp so left wing? Because censorship, lies, fear of being ostracised, lack of imagination, and wishful thinking.

I've yet to be on a forum like Breitbart that doesn't have a couple of hit and run liberals while the conservatives are having in depth conversations with each other. The lefties are always snarky and bullying, always. And their posts are amazingly stupid, with their typical arrogance. Not one of them ever offers any proof, while conservatives reply with links to validate their responses. Without fail, every single time, the leftist idiot will come back with, "you guys offer no proof for your wrong opinions" AFTER someone has replied with proof. Ironically, the liberal idiot never provides links to back up their bullshit. Then they run off all smug, like they've really gotten the advantage of us.

It's pretty bad.  When Big Government first started out, there were some, somewhat, honest LIbErals trying to sustain arguments; but they were unfailingly shot down and given links, if necessary.  Then, yes, it devolved into the nightly troll shift from mEdIaMatTerZ!!!111 on hit and run missions.  They even tried bringing wingmen.  Ask them for a link and they disappear.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Put those in the miscellaneous column of the expense report.  Be sure to use account code 7300-5000, and attach your receipt; otherwise Accounting is just going to send it back.

To the OP DUmmie:  The reason you're seeing comments sections tending rightward, is because there's a lot of pissed off people out here, and we surround you.

What I can't stand is when at say, Politico, there's one moonbat looking like an assigned OFA goon, post hogging every other freaking post.  Saying nothing but insults, and chewing up all the real estate.  I wish they had an ignore function.

It seems the possibility completely eludes them that the majority of the country might actually be Center-Right, not merely complacent sheep, and regard Progressive bullshit with informed skepticism.

There is not one damn thing I say about you Prog ****ers on here or on comments sections that I won't tell you pussies in public. Any number of people that have me on FB know that to be the case. I've noticed that at RealClearPolitics, they frequently post a link to an article by that lunatic, Sally Kohn.  People flock over there just to make fun of her moonbattery in her comments section.   :lmao:

She was on Hannity one night as part of a panel, and she used the word "collective" 5 times in 3 sentences.

Oh I say it in public. Nobody counters me. I have even kicked up a notch in hopes of being the star of bouncy living here in MoonBat Central. Nope not a person says anything negative. I do get some people agreeing with me. I've really started up a campaign at the check out line.
