That's too funny..."Whitecloud."  We have our share of Mohawks up here.  Any Indian I know has a name like Joe or Bob or Paul.  Sometimes their last names evoke nature, but not always.

I'm looking at Freeman Ozark Center in Joplin, and Lakeland Regional Hospital in Springfield; they both look like they have pretty nice psychiatric wards, and could make Amber comfortable.  I hope her sisters are aware of those places, when considering doing something.

Makes me wonder, how do we know this is real? What if it's all some grand delusion Amber is having that seems so real she's convinced she's actually living it? Perhaps her sisters, in their quest to keep her safe, have confined her to the house and let her have a computer as an outlet.

It might be time to consider residential treatment...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe was a common practice among Native Americans of the southwest to name themselves like this.

They used names such as Geronimo or Chappo or Dohnsay or whatever.

As far as I know, only the Native Americans of the Upper Great Plains states used names descriptive of things.

I think there is an apache reservation near Tucson.  South of Tucson is where Geronimo and Cochise hung out up in the Chiricahua mountains.  I love the southeast area of Arizona.  Lot's of history there.

Spent several days down there with friends, never had so much fun in my life  :-)

And the I found this one on how to heat a room for 15 cents a day, I am sure you can use it to heat your card board box instead.

No matter the tribal affiliation of her phony friend, there aren't very many American Indians that run around calling themselves Little Beaver or Dancing Elk nowadays.  Most go by more colorful names, names like Mike, Larry or Joe.

I asked the Nadin Machine for traditional Navajo and Hopi names.  Examples include Shilah, Ahiga, Sani, Kotori, and Hototo.  No toilet paper names.

I don't think they ever told us what tribe was on Howdy Doody.

Princes Summerfallwinterspring and Chief Thunderthud. Maybe the Fugawee tribe.

No Whitecloud. Bad enough that it's racist and toilet papery, it's also gay.

I wonder how tolerant the noble savages were of homos in their midst.

Mostly Pima and Yaqui right around the Old Pueblo, as Tucson calls itself, the Apaches and some Navajos are around, too, but farther out.

I'm all for helping the idiot, but please, not Lakeland.  That's way too geographically close for comfort.

Well, but she really needs to be institutionalized close to the sisters and the ancient father, so that they can superintend, in the "family sense," her mental health care, to help her get well all the quicker.

Who plans to be homeless? That is so bizarre.  She has lived on the streets before, so maybe there is something about it she likes or in her mind is comforting.

It's all just too weird  :mental:

I checked the wikipedia page for Ira Hayes since I knew that he was a Pima indian and I was stunned to find out that his nickname was Chief Falling Cloud--it doesn't say so, but that nickname was probably given to him by his pale faced Marine Corps brothers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_Hayes

After further reading, I found it does say:

Quote
U.S. Marine Corps[edit]
Hayes enlisted in the Marine Forces Reserve on August 26, 1942.[13] He completed recruit training in Platoon 701 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California and in October volunteered for Marine paratrooper (Parmarine) training at the Marine Parachute School at Camp Gillespie located east of San Diego where he received the codename of Chief Falling Cloud. On November 30, he graduated from the Parachute Training School and received his silver "jump wings".[12] On December 1, he received a promotion to Private First Class.[2]

Yo LFR... some advice. First is don't walk in front of vehicles. You will lose... badly. Second is get your ass back to your family and your job at the convient store. Third is quit posting at the dump. They do not care about you and will forget you the second you quit posting at the dump.

5 cents please.

They really don't give a shit about her at all. For all the long, detailed posts she makes, she never gets more than 2-3 replies, at the most. And none from the high post big mouths that going on and on about their compassion for the poor and needy. They see her as a nothing, and have no concern for her at all. If she died tomorrow they wouldn't even blink. She is humiliating herself pouring her heart out there and they just step over her homeless heap to post about how progressive and caring they are. ::)

They hate her because of her celebrity status here.

They were all buddy-buddy with her while she was planning her latest episode of being a hobo.

Then she earned a high level of attention here and the jealousy set in.

I can't imagine how much Doug would be hated if they could remember him.
