"JUNK INSURANCE JUNK INSURANCE JUNK INSURANCE" Say it 1000 times.

Last edited Sat Nov 16, 2013, 04:11 PM - Edit history (2)

I have been making some right winger heads explode by saying "JUNK INSURANCE" when they talk about the 2-3% losing plans in the individual market. I say "Yeah, they are losing their JUNK insurance with massive deductibles and that doesn't cover anything because the law says the INSURANCE COMPANIES can't just sell that JUNK insurance anymore. And you know as well as I do that it is pure JUNK."

Then of course they'll come back and say, "Well, who the hell are you to call it "JUNK"? If it is what they want and it works for them, they should have that choice."

Then I say, "I didn't call it JUNK. The insurance companies did by making sure it was JUNK. And of course they DO NOT 'WANT' THIS JUNK. They buy it because it is all they can AFFORD. Are you telling me that if a person needed a car and bought some piece of shit because it was all they could afford that would be their CHOICE??? Give me a ****in' break ! They would at least buy a decent car, one that would not be a piece of JUNK that breaks down the moment you really need it. Maybe it doesn't need to be a new Cadillac, but a decent car should at least maybe be a Ford Focus or Chevy Cruise, not some piece of crap Yugo type JUNK. And a health plan shouldn't be a LEMON and piece of JUNK either. We have a "lemon law" with cars. Well, the ACA is the lemon law for JUNK insurance plans. They are a disgrace, and we need to scrap them and throw them on the junk heap. We can take some time with that as we transition. But in time, they need to be scrapped as the JUNK they are and meet some standards. And they are going to get BETTER PLANS THAT ARE NOT JUNK and the prices for them will come down as more and more people enter the market."

This works. They stand there gaping knowing they can't win. Dems and Progressives need to learn how

You can stand there and scream like some with Tourettes all you want, we still won't believe your bullshit.
This notion that you know what is in people's plans better than they do, won't do you goons any favors. People are going to resent the hell out of you for thinking you know their policies better than they do.

as well as you just did. It really isn't very complicated. Nobody needs or really wants junk insurance.

Yet you are about to force people on to junk insurance, I've seen the premiums, I've seen the deductibles.

4. so you want the taxpayers to pay for your wife/daughters baby or your insurance?

Isn't that the goal of the leftists? Wouldn't single payer be paid by the taxpayer? The way I see it either way we all will be paying for that whether by being forced to buy policies that provide it, or if it was simply a tax. Same result same method and no choice given.

5. Plans now include coverage for a few things you might not need to get EVERYONE COVERED. Listen,

I pay taxes for all kinds of things I don't use. Right now for Medicare and SS, but I am helping those who DO need it, and SOME of it will be there for me when I need it, but not as much as I will use. The next generation will pay for ME. I pay taxes for oil companies to search for oil when they already make billions and don't need it. I paid taxes for years for school kids before I had kids and will pay after mine are out. We all do this. Insurance is tantamount to a TAX because it is the system we have. We have to have it. By all pooling in as a group, as the new plans are designed, we get EVERYONE IN and EVERYONE covered which means a healthier society for ALL and LOWER COSTS for all over time and a more STABLE market.

Reform means BYE BYE SHITTY CRAPPY JUNK INSURANCE !! SEE YA !!

I'm trying to remember the last time being forced into a pool to pay for things ever resulted in less costs, I'm drawing a serious blank. SS doesn't seem too stable at the moment, last estimate I saw showed that it will be broke just in time for when I hit 65. We have gone down this road before and here we go about to travel the same exact path once again, but somehow the destination will be different this time. How many programs does the government have to screw up before people will catch on? If any private business tried any of these tricks the DUmmies would be screaming for them to be shut down, and for once I would agree with them.

It doesn't seem to be working for O'dumbo and San Fran Nan.

Dear DUmmies--that "3 percent" as you refer to them is up to 9 MILLION AMERICANS.

These are REAL PEOPLE.  People who had REAL insurance, REAL medical conditions, REAL needs.

And you just dismissed them.

Hey, DUmmies? The people buying those policies had them because they were healthy people who didn't need to rush to the doctor to have something removed from their stomachs or asses every Saturday night. They don't have "PTSD" like you all have, and they don't wake up in a cold sweat in their childhood bedroom, scared that they may have to buy their own toilet paper someday. Seeing as how these healthy people are the utter lynchpin to BH O'blivion's Healthcare Handout, one would think that YOU, who will benefit from their presence in the denominator, would be a little nicer about it all.

You're ridiculing healthy people for not wanting to buy something more expense than what they want and need so YOU can free ride. That is ****ing pathetic.

Let me put it to you in a way you can understand: You and your friends are sitting around without any dope, and three dollars between you. You're ridiculing your neighbor, who doesn't want to sit around smoking dope with you assholes, for not putting in the $7 you need for a dime bag.

Leave your neighbor alone.

15 Years ago, I had junk insurance when I had a heart attack. ER in home town hospital, transferred to another one 30 miles away and spent 2 days in ICU, then sent to a third hospital 30 more miles away for surgery, 6 days in ICU and 2 days in cardiac recover.....cost me $2,000 out of pocket.

I'm sure Obamacare's best plan would cost me a lot more that that now.

Sorry, DUmmies.  You and your cult leaders have lost credibility.  While I'm not sure Dr. Krauthammer's assertion that this fiasco will set liberalism back 100 years is true, wouldn't it be awesome if it were true?

I mean, the next president would be republican.  The next senate would be ruled by republicans.  The next house will continue to be ruled by republicans.

All that power your cult leader has granted to himself over the past five years is going to be okay with all of you, right?

Now what were you saying about "junk insurance?"

So-called "junk insurance" is all that many people needed.  My cousins had so-called "junk insurance," they paid cash for routine medical care but they had basic catastrophic insurance just in case something major was needed.  That was all they needed in terms of insurance.

It's not fair that they pay only for their own doctors visits. They need to contribute so some lazy DUmmy can see the doctor for free.

Let me ask you--how would you feel if YOU were one of them?

Actually, its 3% of POLICIES.

So, some quick math for reading primitives.

314 million Americans, out of which 15.4% are uninsured.

https://www.google.com/search?num=100&site=&source=hp&q=population+of+the+united+states&oq=population+of+the+&gs_l=hp.3.1.0l2j0i20j0l7.1332.4280.0.7282.18.9.0.9.9.0.95.691.9.9.0....0...1c.1.31.hp..0.18.729.t4oXIg1_Qa8

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/18/us/percentage-of-americans-lacking-health-coverage-falls-again.html?_r=0

leaves 48.3 million uninsured. (do the math, Primitives)

The average household is currently pegged at 2.55 people.

http://www.marketingcharts.com/wp/topics/demographics/american-households-are-getting-smaller-and-headed-by-older-adults-24981/

3% of 314 million is 9,420,000 - multiplied by the average household is 24,021,000.

HOWEVER:

the percentage of substandard plans is a bit higher than the 3% you mentioned, primitive.

out of the individual market, better than 98% of them are 'junk' according to Obamacare..

http://www.healthpocket.com/healthcare-research/infostat/few-existing-health-plans-meet-new-aca-essential-health-benefit-standards#.UogcpnVDtEc

out of the rest of the market, (read as : "not individual") 68% are also 'junk', according to Obamacare. (128 M)

http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/10/30/no-david-axelrod-the-vast-majority-of-people-in-this-country-are-not-keeping-their-plan/

So, better than two-thirds of those insured in the United States will ultimately lose their plans, to help force 15.4% of the population into plans.

And if voters have an ounce of common sense, The Democrats are going to get to

I like when they double down on stupid. Yeah, I'm talking about you and your stupidity RBInMaine.

The reason that I like it is that every so often I start to feel sorry for them. Start to think that they're just poor, misguided and ignorant individuals that should be pitied. Then posts like RBInMaine's come along to bring me back to reality and remind me that they're just willfully stupid assholes that foul the air that normal and decent people breathe.

Is it me? Or does it appear they're rope-a-doping themselves? They keep defending the site and the act itself, saying all the other plans were crap, etc., but have yet to address the outrageously expensive deductibles, costs, etc. When the site is completely fixed, MILLIONS will be able to see how much their savings will be. ....like -500% savings. They haven't really formulated an excuse for that. They're too busy knocking themselves into the ropes over how think think plans were bad and the people were just too stupid to see it. When food has to be cut back to pay for increasing medical insurance, all that politics bullshit goes out the window and they'll be looking in one direction with their blame, lying Dims and that Kenyan asshole in the White House.

1.....cost me $2,000 out of pocket.

I'm sure Obamacare's best plan would cost me a lot more that that now.

That's if Obamacare will cover that.  There isn't anyway his plan can work without rationing.  Especially since so many doctors and hospitals won't be part of Obamacare.
