Of course avoiding illegal activities is hardly mentioned.

A Former Cop Explains How To Avoid Getting Arrested

Dale Carson is a defense attorney in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as an alumnus of the Miami-Dade Police Department and the FBI. So he knows a thing or two about how cops determine who to hassle, and what all of us can do to not be one of those people.

Carson has distilled his tips into a book titled "Arrest-Proof Yourself," now in its second edition. It is a legitimately scary book — 369 pages of insight on the many ways police officers profile and harass the people on their beat in an effort to rack up as many arrests as possible.

"Law enforcement officers now are part of the revenue-gathering system," Carson tells me in a phone interview. "The ranks of cops are young and competitive, they’re in competition with one another and intra-departmentally. It becomes a game. Policing isn’t about keeping streets safe, it’s about statistical success. The question for them is, 'Who can put the most people in jail?'"

Which would make the question for you and me, "How can we stay out of jail?" Carson's book does a pretty good job of explaining — in frank language — how to beat a system that's increasingly predatory.

A disturbing article.

3. Yeah, those are some of the suggestions.

Cops are scary people.

Only scary when you are breaking the law...

They cheer on this video... and this video says it all IMO:

25. Yep, you see the bully back down?

That's what happens when you confront a bully.

We can't continue to crawl for these Nazi fascists. That's what they want; that's what gives them power.

You are not going to keep your rights unless you exercise them.

Anyone who tries to enforce the law = Nazi fascists
Yet this same group will be the first to bitch when there is a break-in in their neighborhood and nobody was watching out for them.

Thanks for bringing this over.

I saw this yesterday, and the ZombieHorde's one of the primitives I'm fond of, and I was thinking about bringing it over, but got detoured.

I sure hope the video potty-mouth doesn't live in that area. :loser:

Yet this is the same group who wants to put Tea Party people in jail just for breathing.

The cop has more patients than I do.....I'd shoot the MO-FO just so the world would be a better place.

Wait a minute, I thought getting arrested was a rite of passage for the DUmmies? You know, protest, get arrested, get out a couple of hours later, get a latte at Starbucks and pat themselves on the back for being "heroes".

You know I have been running around in my head about the K('s that alerted on two men that had no drugs on or in them.

It is told to us that paper money has some residue of drugs, blood and fecial material on it.

Is it possible the men had paper money in their pants and the K9 picked up the smell ?  Perhaps this was not a false positive after all.

Aunt worked for a school lunch room and wore gloves as she said the money turned in for lunches was filthy

So I am thinking of how two men who tested clean for drugs were made to under go all kinds of torture to find something that was not there.

These K9  are so good they can find just one seed in or out doors. If they had paper money in a back pocket they , the dogs would pick up a drug on it or their clothing, not the person.

Rent a car, how do you know the last renter did not drop a seed or a speck of coke onto the seat and you sat on it.    Airline seats, bus seats, just about anywhere you sit down if contaminated with a drug, a K9 will alert on you.

One can be as pure as gold and still get their tit in the wringer.   A college kid heading back to school had been visiting her boyfriends family.  Her mother had at some point packed her a glass container of Celaste  Tea.

In the airport her bag fell open the jar was broken and she was held until a test of the contents was taken. Came back as Hereon  of some sort.   Fortunately both her parents and her boyfriends parents were lawyers, and rushed off to buy other containers of the tea and sent for testing.    All tests came back as drugs.

Had this girl come from a poor or even middle class family,  her life would have been destroyed, there is no way to avoid being arrested.   It is how one handles themselves at the arrest that counts.

Remember I had my computer arrested --out of the blue.   Scared me half to death but within 3 or less weeks it was brought home and whoever had managed to hack into my PC was long gone.

Nothing like opening your door to 2 policeman with a warrant to search your home. I myself got tunnel vision and mind block or melt, I could not for the life of me remember my husbands work number,   a place I had worked at for 22 years.

Happens when one is placed in a situation one has never encountered  before. A frozen body and mind, fear and not being able to understand what is going on or not know to react to the happenings is what makes us victims of the bad guys.

Here's my long list of suggestions.

1. Don't break the law.
2. Don't piss off the cops.

One amazing technique, passed down from my parents, who learned it from their parents, has helped me to completely avoid getting arrested for all 28 years of my life.  Let me tell you this secret.  It is: Don't break the law.  You do that one little things and your chances of getting arrest just dropped to just about nil.
