I have been able to pay utilities and have part of the rent, but am appealing to people here to please donate whatever they can to cover the rest. We need right around $1500 (SF is expensive).
 
I come to you all because my mom has been posting on DU for some 7-8 years. I heard her tell a friend once how DU has moved her further and further left politically. I know she is grateful for that education. I don't have extended family to ask for assistance, so I am coming to you. Mom will be as the doctor said off the grid for a while, but anything you can offer whether it's financial assistance or good vibes will be appreciated.

She apparently has enough money to overdose on prescription meds but can't pay her bills.  She creates her own problems and yet expects the DUmp to bail her out.  I'm thinking it is all BS and AtomicSon is Atomic Kitten.

What a freaking drama queen. Yeah what happened at a Sandy Hook was bad, but using that as an excuse to down a bottle of pills is insane. Besides I thought she had insurance thanks to 0bama so why does she need money?

How sick is it that this piece of dump shit uses the death of his obviously mentally ill and drug addict mother and the deaths of some school kids to beg for money. How old is Son of Atomic Kitten? Why can't he pay the bills? Maybe mom offed herself as an escape from the leach. Or maybe he saw Stewie's posts about his Dear Dead Daddy and a lightbulb hit and he offed Mommy to make bank. Has Atomic Kitten ever made The Cave for anything notable?

Re-read the OP: the Son of DUmshit never said she died of the OD Just that she OD'ed.He also mentions that mom is presently under a doctor's care - presumably doing the Thorazine shuffle while she blows another psychiatric evaluation.

So, was AK the mother, grandmother or other very close relative of a child killed at Sandy Hook?  That would be the only valid reason for even mentioning it in this beggar's note.  Otherwise, it's a disgusting excuse that plays right into DUmmies tiny wallets.  The beggar knows just what to post to get them opened.  I don't see any DUmmies ODing over the thousands of aborted babies thrown into trash cans.

I apologize for my delay in thanking you all for your generosity. I am a full time student at SF State and that keeps me pretty busy. I could not believe my eyes when I logged on 24 hours after I posted the thread.

I am so grateful for the outpouring of good wishes. Mom is completely off the grid, no internet, no news programs. So I copied the thread and responses for my mom to read. She was overwhelmed by it all. I also showed her the Batkid thing yesterday and she loved it. All good therapy for her I think. She's gone on disability for the time being and is in therapy, reading, and she started swimming at the Y again.

You have made it possible for us to transition to this new phase and both mom and I are very grateful. The despair she was feeling was met with love and that is without a doubt the very best medicine.

A special thank you to Wishadoo. Dena helped me every step of the way.

OOOOH that smell can't you smell that smell.

So ill she has been taken off the grid, no internet or news paper or TV.    Yet she goes swimming at the Y on I would guess some interesting drugs to keep her calm.

Just what a nightmare that must be for others in the pool if she heads for the bottom of the pool and try's to surface by grabbing onto others.    Is she out there on drugs driving a car, last I looked most cars have a radio that can bring in the news.

She best be careful with that car radio, she could accidently tune in Rush and think she is listening to Obama.  Wont that be a hoot as she tells her therapist what she heard  the voices in her head that claim to be Obama say.
