Ok, I have heard Rush and Hannity now say that they think there is hope about Obamacare getting scrapped.  Am I dumb to get my itty bitty hopes up?   :-)  

He did call it the democrats baby and finally they cared about a baby for once :rotf:

I don't see it going away, the door has been opened to hell.  I don't see it closing.

Obama is going to make sure this thing works, no matter how much it costs, or how many executive orders he has to sign, it will happen.

Unfortunately I think you're right.  If the democratics were actually trying to provide healthcare, they might consider scrapping it.  Since that is obviously not their goal, I expect they will blunder on until they have completely destroyed American healthcare.  I think their goal is medicaid for all (except elites) provided by a national health service.

Hold on, the best worst is yet to come.   The thing hasn't even gone into effect yet.  The best this plan is, is a cheap HMO.  People won't keep their doctors and they'll be lucky to get a dr. appointment six months after it does go into effect.

Maybe the best way to kill socialism and wake up the voters is to make them take their medicine for putting this wanna be dictator into office.

Folks this was the plan from the get go.  They want a National Healthcare system.  Hillary will swoop in next election and "fix" it for everyone.

Fewer and fewer are working. Pretty soon there will be less people working than those not working. That includes retirees and those on SS but the trend is troubling. Seems to me, work is not an American tradition anymore for millions of Americans. They would rather sponge off the government.

Social security is not an entitlement. It is a debt owed to those who paid into it. Everyone should get every penny back that they paid in. Not one penny more, not one penny less.

Did not imply that SS is an entitlement. It is a benefit that has been earned by workers contributions. I am on SS. Since I have a civil service pension, my benefit is cut in half. Plus, I have to pay federal income taxes on 85% of my SS which really p!sses me off.

Then most would run through that in just a very few years.

SS should have been invested in something that grows.....but don't even suggest that, democrats will shoot that right down. It would be good for the country, good for the retiree but not so good for fear mongering democrat politicians.
