How is Obamacare not a disaster for the Democratic party?
Last edited Sat Nov 9, 2013, 10:27 AM USA/ET - Edit history (7)

How many people who have been screwed by this law will support the Democrats? How many Democratic voters will continue to support the party after it's been revealed the law allows the insurance companies to completely shake them down?

And how much more bull$hit will ACA sycophants lecture us about "made up" stories? Is the following story "made up"? Is the Washington Post in cahoots with the Republicans?

It's not like the conservatives tried to tell you, DUmbass.

We are going to see the totalitarians break into two groups and bring out the long knves as they always do. The Stalinists versus the Trotskites. The DUches that get more out of the cACA and the DUches that put more into the cACA or lose their insurance entirely. Once they have killed (tombstoned) all the counter revolutionaries they always turn on themselves. Another thing that democrats and muslims have in common.

Forward comrade DUches, it's going to be a glorious future, GLORIOUS!

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

That's right, DUmmie, it's a right wing troll, straight from CC.  An almost 20k post troll that needs to become an "evacuee" as fast as your Einsatzgruppen can make it happen.

So what are you waiting for, kestrel DUmmie?  Pull the trigger, light the tire fires, and drag your dead through the street.  Tack another scalp to David's wall and congratulate yourselves for maintaining your party purity.

We'll be over here laughing and preparing the next round of confusion, discord, and division...
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

You know what ?

Most of you DUmmys drive around in POS cars, because you can't afford anything else. -I'm not insulting you for that, because I've been there - My point is that sometimes a basic product is all that one can afford, or if you are someone who drives only on occasion, a clunker is all that is needed.

Here is a story.

What if the President said 'If you like your car, you can keep it' - and then when you brought your car in to be tuned up, you discovered that action ended its grandfather clause, forcing you to buy a Prius or another electric vehicle from one of a handful of dealers. Sure, you might qualify for a 7,000 dollar subsidy, but you will be left with a 34 thousand dollar bill for a car that you drive to the grocery store once a week.

Or you can pay an ever increasing amount of your income for a 12 month bus pass.

Obamacare is pretty much exactly the same thing.

So primitive, enjoy your shiny new Prius - that you can't afford to charge up.

^5.  Good analogy.  The scary part is that I'm afraid you're going to give them the idea.  They came close with Cash for Clunkers.

I drive old cars because I prefer them.  I have an 80s diesel that can be run on distilled corn oil in the event gas can't be had.  Several other old cars from that era.  One 93 vehicle that is currently being restored due to it getting stolen and wrecked.  And one 2004 that is too new… it had OnStar and I didn't notice when I bought it.  It will probably be the newest vehicle I will ever own.

I think the next thing Obama should do is to get the "Affordable Housing Act" passed.

It's a basic human right that everyone has a place to live.  They can base it on the same concept as the ACA.

All housing units must include three bedrooms, two bathrooms and conform to all regulations in construction, energy efficiency etc...to be determined by the Secretary of the Interior.

There will be four plans available.  Costs to be determined by income and qualification of subsidies.

The thing is the cACA plans are WORSE. They are truly substandard.

Bronze is 60/40 after a $6000 deductible with $100 co-pays at $600/month. I don't think that there was a 60/40 plan available before Obama Hellcare. If you were not forced to buy some kind of insurance why would anybody buy that? Answer, NOBODY.

Leftists lie, they lie all the time.

You know that attorneys are called "counselors at law", right?

You think it's "dehumanizing" to use a common title of counselor for a lawyer?

Really?

PeaceNikki kept her cool through the bitterly fought Scott Walker recall election and the Prosser vs. Kloppenburg Wisconsin Supreme Court election, but now she's losing her mud over the Unaffordable Care Act.  This spells doom for the democrat party.

DON'T MAKE ME STOP THIS (CLOWN) CAR!  ............and Skinner weighs in.  He says if the dems lose in 2014 because of Obamacare, it's worth it because people will be taken care of.

Yeah, right.   :loser:

49. You know what's funny?

There are people on DU who keep telling us that politics shouldn't be about party over policy. But then they argue against policy by saying it'll make Democrats lose votes. They'll dump on the Democrats the day before an actual election, loudly proclaiming how they refuse to compromise their sacred principles, but when we're a year out from an election they are all worried about winning.

Let me be clear: If Democrats lose in 2014 because of Obamacare, I'll be disappointed -- but the loss will be worth it. Because we actually did something good that will make a big difference for millions of people. This is why we run for office in the first place -- to do some good. And Obamacare, despite its flaws, is the most important piece of legislation of my lifetime. If we lose, so be it. As long as we never go back to the much-worse health care system we had before.

It sucks that this woman is paying a higher premium. I don't know anything about her old health plan -- maybe it was amazing. (Actually no, it probably wasn't amazing, otherwise it wouldn't have been canceled.) But I do know quite a lot about her new plan -- it's going to actually provide her with health care coverage if/when she needs it.

Yeah, right.   :loser:

The arrogance of these people to judge whether someone they don't know and will never meet has adequate health insurance.

I hope the dems lose big in 14 and 16 and we repeal this bullshit.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

The DUmmies are too stupid to realize that Obamacarescam has nothing to do with health or care.  It's just one big tax scam and redistribution of wealth.  They are too stupid to realize that under Obama, even they are considered wealthy.

Seems like Skins has gotten his marching orders...

Like the rest of the Democrat talking heads, he seems to be firmly on the 'Obviously, your plan was a piece of crap and even though you are too stupid to see it now, what daddy gub-mint is giving you is WAY BETTER. ' bandwagon.

I hope they continue with this tactic for the next 12 months.
