So I decided to vote today at a local rec center..

Few people.. I had originally thought I entered the wrong voting center - thinking it was that churchy place by the park where I live, so I asked if I could vote in here - they all say "YES!" - and so I proceeded with my voting - ID was checked (my driver's license was accepted), and they asked me the appropriate questions for verification, so I answered them. They asked me if I wanted to vote by machine or by paper. I said paper! There were three machines looking so lonely in its dark corner.... looked evil..... but I voted.

There. All done. Took me all of 5 minutes. Why can't each voting center be like that in the United States.

No conversion or really a bouncy.  Couldn't resist because of the "So..." that started the thread.  But that's damn near the same experience I've had voting, even in last year's Presidential election.  9-10 minutes and I was done.  Spent more time voting for judges than I did to park and walk into the church.

Why other states can't emulate mine is beyond me.

They said "yes", because the town where he lives is so small, there is only one polling station.

Before I vote, I always hide in the bushes. I covertly search for fellow bush dwellers while I'm hiding.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

The DUmmie OP is a mole. Everyone knows how impossible it is to get a valid ID in the first place let alone trying to get it out of a wallet or purse when asked to show one.

Surprised the  DUmmy didn't have to force his way through a phalanx of riot police and German Shepherds*, blocking the door to the rec center. That is one of my favorite parts of the voting adventure!

*Note to lurking DUmmies: "German Shepherds" are a breed of dogs. I wasn't talking about people from Germany who herd sheep.

I did not know that some places allow you to choose whether to use a paper ballot or a machine.

Of course, this was written by a DUmmy, so....
