The President lied...

The President lied...

And people died.

He said there were WMDs in Iraq. He said they were getting "yellowcake" from Af-ri-ca. He said we may see a mushroom cloud from Saddam Hussein.

And we spent trillions of dollars on the war and its resulting casualties.

And now....

They are saying this President lied also. He said if you wanted to keep your insurance, you would be able to do so. Unfortunately, he did not check with the insurance companies that were writing individual policies and they made him out to be a liar. They refused to give their customers their same policy with the added benefits of the new law without writing a new policy, and in many cases, charging them more for it. The insurance companies made a liar out of the President.

And the Republican Party is making hay out of it. They know a liar when they see one...

See it isn't 0bama's fault he had bad intelligence and acted on it, so you can't blame him.

1. The President isn't running for re-election.

I am not worried about this. Strategically, it makes sense for the Democratic Party to allow the President to take whatever lumps are coming for this language error and move on.

Ultimately, this is much ado about nothing.

-Laelth

Yeah people don't mind that he lied about premiums going down, he lied about being able to keep your plan and your doctor. People losing their coverage and getting fined for not having it is much ado about nothing.  :whatever:

I wish we hadn't banned him here I would love for him to try that shit at this site.

2. I think that ultimately this will show how worthless those cheap insurance policies were for the

American people. We have a right to expect standards in health insurance coverage. The truth is that the people were scammed by the insurance companies. To me, it's like product safety laws or any other laws that protect the consumer from fraud.

What I don't understand is why people bought such inferior "insurance" in the first place...

See if you liked your plan you were eternally stupid, now just budget your money better and you can afford all the increases on your affordable health care.  :mental:

10. I stopped paying for medical insurance in 2002 BECAUSE I could see it was worthless.

I'd rather give the money to my family, if it comes to that. And this way I don't have any faceless, careless, underpaid "employees" making health care decisions for me. If I die, at least it will be from my own mistakes.

But I finally got Medicare in 2010.

9. Bill Maher said last night

George W. Bush lied over Iraq's WMD but they were White lies.

At this point in time, what difference does it make?

I love leftist logic, they can excuse anything on their side if they can claim that a repuke lied long ago.  :whatever:

company.

29. Yes, the President did not say they could keep the same plan at the same price.

Very few people kept their same plan at the same price, with the cost of insurance going up every year at extraordinary rates.

They are incredibly stupid. Just wait until they find out how worthless their 0bama plans are. They will be asking what good is insurance that has a $6000 deductible. Damn them repukes.

Sorry primitives -

This isn't some sort of one-off comment that is being reported. Obama made the same 'language errors' dozens of times on tape.

  • If you like your plan, you can keep it
  • its not going to add to the deficit
  • the average family will save $2,500 yearly
  • the ACA will cost 900 billion over 10 years

NONE of these statements are true. And remember - Rethuglikkkans have NOTHING to do with Obamacare. They were locked out of its design, none of them voted for it, and they have tried to kill it. - BTW, The general public knows all of this because the media wanted the whole world to know who to thank for Obamacare. -I bet they wish they hadn't now, because now Obamacare is ALL YOU.

And of course the Congressional staffer from Georgia chimes right in with the Reid/Pelosi/DNC approved talking points.

Looks like we're on the cusp of the first stage of grief, denial and isolation.  Yes, the primitives are always in a state of impotent rage, but as far as Obamacare and all of the lies associated with it, this is a very distinct stage.  Here are the 5 stages, showing the steps to come:

1. Denial and Isolation-  The vast majority of primitives are and have been at this stage for quite awhile.  Blaming the right and the American public for having supposedly sub-par insurance is an example of it.

2. Anger-  This will be one of the most entertaining stages.  You may see some posts along the lines of "How could he do this to us?" or "They all lie!" please note that there will never be direct blame at the president or the democrats that did this because there is another psychological profile at work amongst the primitives that may be covered in another post.

3. Bargaining-  This has been showing up for awhile with some of the more ardent primitives. "If only we'd gone for Single-payer..." but this time be followed by "....this would never have happened!"

4. Depression-  "I'll never be able to afford this!" "They'll never be able to fund this enough to support my drug rehab!" or "I can't afford 95 bucks a year! how will I feed my two dozen cats?"

5. Acceptance- The reality that the great Obama lied to them will finally sink in.  Many of the primitives will unfortunately never reach this stage and will be stuck at anger, pretty much where they've been throughout their miserable lives.  "He lied to us, but remember, he won't do it again! he's promised!"

Democrats don't lie. They just commit language errors.  :rotf:

I like the term "language malfunction."

King Barky didn't lie and of course he could never have an error. It's Language's fault that 98 million peole will be kicked of of the plan they liked and be forced into a worse plan at a much higher cost. King Barky the Liar is going to be steaming mad at "language" for quite awhile.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Another tidbit from Debbie Washerwoman.

Wasserman Schultz dismissed claims that Obama misled Americans.

“It was not a lie, let’s just be very clear. So let me knock that down right away,” Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said. “When the president and myself and every other Democrat that talked about that if you like your health care, you can keep it, that was referring to the overwhelming majority of Americans who had health care.”

That right there proves to me they are lying, every time 0bama says "let me be clear" it is always followed by a massive lie. So I would guess if Debbie does stupid is saying let me be clear that means she too is lying.

People believed him when he said they could keep their insurance, they could keep their Doctors and their premiums would go down $2,500. You may think it's much ado about nothing but people who are getting screwed don't. Also Joe Manchin, Mark Pryor, Mary Landrieu, Kay Hagan, and Mark Begich don't think it's much ado about nothing. This is the elitist attitude that Americans hate about Democrats and in particular the left.
