Why is it leftists aren't content to just try to beat us? They feel the need to destroy us until there are no more of us.
For the same reason Pol Pot had his Killing Fields (1,700,000 dead), Stalin had his Purges (20,000,000 dead) and Mao had his Cultural Revolution (49-78,000,000 dead).
Human nature will not abide the oppression of spirit that accompanies full blown Socialism or Communism. We naturally rebel against it and will never give up. Eliminating us, just as the monsters above eliminated their detractors, is the only way their plans can come to full fruition.
The misanthropes and nihilists of DU are perfectly happy to just sit around and exist, having someone else taking care of their feeding and watering, occasionally stroking their pleasure buttons, until they turn to wormfood. To them that's all there is to life. So they follow the base survival instinct of expending the least amount of energy for the most gain, and in most cases that means robbing from others. Let the other tribe do the hunting and gathering and putting away for winter and then sneak in during the dark of night and raid the stores, just like many of our primitive forebearers did.
Then when taken to task for it, gibber and chatter that the other tribe's more highly developed sense of morals compels them to allow the theft, and in fact should drive the other tribe to leave
more of their goods unguarded to make the theft easier. Cunning, these primitives are. Not bright, but cunning.
