pie-and-jam primitive has a question

Oh my.

New campfire, just lit, but what provokes one's interest in it is that the grasswire primitive once alleged herself to be a great-great-grandmother.  At the time she made that assertion in the cooking and baking forum three or four years ago, Judy appeared to be in her late 60s, and the great-great-grandchild, who was "helping" her cook, circa five years old.

She said it, and she said it twice, "great-great-grandchild."

That's one generation every, uh, 12-14 years.  Judy was already a grandmother when in her late 20s.

question about ACA and parents paying child support

I apologize for not being conversant on ACA. I don't need to use it, personally. But I have a family member who has been uninsured since being divorced about ten years ago and who is the age where medical issues begin to crop up. He makes an okay living, but more than half of his pay goes to child support. He lives in Florida - ugh.

What is the likelihood that he will be able to get coverage? Is child support considered prior to the figure he would submit? Or is it considered just a living expense? Or what?

There probably are millions of non-custodial parents who have to figure this out.

It's her grandson. He got divorced ten years ago when grasswipe Judy was about sixty.

For generations, the grasswipe clan has begun breeding at the first sign of puberty.

I wonder at what age the average Viking lost their virginity?

It makes me wonder.

Do minors, those under eighteen, have to get the permission of their parents in case they want a divorce?

Wow, and here I was shocked and a little appalled to discover that two of my high school classmates are grandma's at the ripe old age of 36.

1. here in FL - child support is determined by a very specific formula he shouldn't be paying 50% of his income. When I checked out the website (didn't apply) it just asked me for my total household income

2. well, the child support order is not from FL.

Never mind. I'm going to delete the OP. Thanks, anyway.

One wonders what's up with that.

Wouldn't surprise me.  You'll probably find some 30-year-old grandmas if you poke around the projects long enough.  I went to school with pregnant 16-year-old sixth-graders (one was on her second pregnancy and already had kids).
