Got A Job Offer...

Got my CDL-A last month. Got a job offer to drive a oil fracking truck today in North Dakota. The pay is nearly 100K annually plus med-benefits are 100%.

This is three times my current salary.

What would you do a a democrat? take it or walk away?

Uh, yeah, no.  Not even Petroleum Engineers straight out of SD Mines are getting that kind of money.

Trust me, I looked.  And for a guy who barely passed his CDL, driving in ND in the dead of winter is kind of, uh, unforgiving.

He should do the right thing and take the job. For Obama.  Were it not for fracking/ND and Texas jobs, unemployment would be far higher.  Oh, and the 10,000,000 that have given up looking for work. But, I get the  quandary.  Democrats loathe fracking, and I loathe Planned Parenthood. If my only choice was to work for Planned Parenthood in order to provide for my family, would I?  Um, no. But that's just me.

Fracking jobs in my area even grunt work are paying $100k pr year. Most guys are earning $125-150k per year without blinking an eye-hs grads, no education or training. Welders 175-200k Foreman $250K +

And co's are begging for employees. Cannot fill the jobs.  Of course not many people can work 7 days per week, 12-14 hour days and they cannot tough it out. Know one guy who had 3 days off from March to Sept. I don't mean having weekends off but 3 days off total.

Think about all the good that he can do.  How many stars he can buy for the impoverished DU crowd.  How many homeless people he can help.  Never mind how much he is going to pay in taxes.

Hopefully, he is from a high Income tax rate state, so he can help there too.  After he pays 2K a month or more for a hotel room in ND, and food, the SOB will be asking for price controls or quitting cause it costs too much to live up there.

You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.

Brief search but most of these jobs are requiring 1 year driving experience and they prefer at least two. We'll see how things pan out.

Honestly, I can see how his horrible cover letters would help him get a driving job.  Any front office that looked at them would say, "This guy clearly isn't a white collar guy, he must really be a truck driver."

Linda, not trolling just giving facts..you have no idea the high wages and profits and royalties in the gas industry.

My wife and I received $250,000 up front money for our 22 acres as a signing bonus and we have been getting on average $3500-4200 per month royalty for our gas depending on how much they pump. Yes, life is good :) Our neighbor is getting on average $20-22k per month for theirs and the guy down the road has been getting on average $65,000-70,000 PER month. Another friend has a oil well on his property and he signed for a 15 year $150,000 per month lease fee. People told him he was stupid he should have taken a percentage royalty instead. Yeah he quit his job and retired at age 44.

$100k wage is chump change wage in the gas field industry.

** Hiring: WATER TANKER Driver ** (Williston, North Dakota)

Compensation:
**30% of truck ($1,500-1,800 / wk)
**60+ hours a week on average.
**Rotational Schedule: 5 weeks on 1 week off (Flexible).
**Housing: trailer
**Benefits (Medical / Dental / 401k)

Williston is the area growing like crazy right now from what I read.  McDonalds is paying $15.00 per hour.  Just general construction is paying $20.00 per hour because they are growing so fast they can't build homes fast enough.

rsmithintegers has that DUmmy Liar disease of learning about something and becoming so compelled by it that he assumes it for himself. I have NO doubt that truckers can make that much and are needed...but I doubt pretty sincerely that this idiot is anywhere near the running.

In any case, I thought he required his potential employers to allow him time for his "political" activities.

I'm giving this a 6 bongs rating.

The Duche gets his street cred for being a proglodyte and fighting against the future.
Indicates that the DUche has some type of moral judgement.
It also gets in the fact that it could make a substantial salary.
Also appears that it is looking for work and even more impressive has gotten an offer.
As built in moral excuse when it is still sitting on its ass with no job next week.

Of course it never happened but it hit a lot of key points of DUmbassdom with minimal typing. If only it had started with "So".

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

*Must have Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement & 2 YRS Tanker experience.
*3+ years CDL Experience (mileage plus yrs.).
*Must pass a Drug test; also should have a NEARLY SPOTLESS MVR with NO more
than 3 violations in the last 5 yrs. (Due to Insurance)
*A solid and stable work history.
*Understand best practices of maintaining and safely operating tractor-trailers.
*Safety conscious and understand safe work practices for operating in the oil and
gas field and on the road.
*Must have access to a telephone and available for emergency call-outs.
*Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
*Must show a basic knowledge of DOT regulations as determined in interviews and
be willing and able to work within the hours of service regulations.
*A good attitude. Shows interest as a team player, and is observed to be safe and
 conscientious in the workplace.

Hey Tess I'm also fitman who unloaded on the feminazi dykes on DU. Some of my view are liberal and some are very conservative.  And Yes I believe the RW is gulliable when it comes to oil and energy in this county..we will never have $2.00 per gallon oil ever again because the oil co's can't make money at that price and we will never have cheap natural gas for the same reason..if NG get's cheap they will shut off production or export it.
