Crying in the Corner

Obamacare is all going to pieces, the government is pulling a classic bait and switch on their estimates and the primitives are eating each other alive! What to do? Just weep in the corner and wistfully dream about what the socialist utopia might've been.

Kiva sums up the mood of the campfire perfectly:

10. I've accepted the fact that a small but vocal minority here would really prefer that we all march in lockstep, waving our pompoms and cheering, but that's not going to happen. I've been here long enough to understand that, and perhaps someday you too will realize that Democrats don't do that.

And because I care, I will point out that it's pretty much impossible for 'Confederates' to visit this site since the last one died decades ago. Oh, and it's 'grieve' not 'grief' - next time you want to insult someone you might want to consult a history book and a dictionary.

I could never figure out what the primitives have against the South.

I've never been in the South; too hot for me, but damn, I've never met someone from the South who wasn't a nice guy (or woman), the salt of the earth.

Alabamans tend to be wimpy about the weather here, but that's the worst I can say, and it isn't saying much.

Southern girl here.  I have to say that when I go up north people look at me like I have 3 boobs when I hold the door open for them (man or woman).

My hubby is from the north.  I always jump on him because I was taught and teach my kids to say yes ma'am and no sir.  He says that they have to earn his respect before he will say something like that.  Pfft!  Ass!  damn northerners.

I do have to say that he has changed his thoughts on a few things.  PM me and I will let ya know.  O-)

It's customary way up here for everyone to hold the door for everyone else, and to say "thank you."

Sir and Ma'am are not so prevalent, so when you get a southerner transplanted up here, to hear it is very charming.  My new renter is from Louisiana.  He sounds like a Robertson.   :-)

Anyway, the thread is a good read.  I'm feeling all schadenfreudy.

That really did make me laugh out loud.

Democrats/communists/socialists/progressives/fascists/leftists are all about diversity as long as everyone thinks the same. That is all they are.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

92. Seems to me the recent swarm of corporate sockbots is here to stop the general movement to the left

in this country right now.

Every day zombies are signing up at political websites. Far too many get through the door and begin to post their insidious corporatist swill.

There's really all that many real people who follow their lead. It is the job of the sockbot to propagandize, and they can't do that unless they are front, center, and vocal.

Clearly, if a fellow primitive questions the great Obamacare, they are a corporate shill. They just HAVE to be! The Obamacare must be regarded with deference and awe as it is a great thing that has graced all of us by it's presence.

I could never figure out what the primitives have against the South.

The South lost the Civil War and were vilified for their slavery policies.

The Proglodytes rewrite history to exonerate themselves from the fact they were the slave owners but transfer the emotional animus onto their enemies to give their slaves 2 minutes of hate.

It's the same with their incessant Nazi epithets. You can't be a small government Nazi, it's impossible by definition. Nazis is were big government socialists that had nationalized industries, government run schools, national healthcare, disarmed populace, controlled media, etc.

But the righteous hatred against the Nazis is useful for Proglodytes to direct against their enemies just a Nazis policies are useful for Proglodytes to achieve what they want for their socialist agenda.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

3. Pallone hysterically blocked a perfectly reasonable line of questioning.

Specifically, some 'teabagger' demanded an explanation for the required consent during the application process to "no reasonable expectation of privacy.' Really?

Earlier, some 'teabagger' counted the number of words in the ACA - over 11 billion and wondered why. So do I.

and of course, his concern was duly noted.
