Good news! Obamacare premiums availalble to easily view
« on: October 23, 2013, 12:31:39 PM »
DUmmies should go to this link and  download info on OCare premiums. All states are not included, but many are.  .CSV is best download format because it includes all fields. I also saved a copy as .xls and saw the information I was looking for.

I hope it is ok to post here. I wanted to make sure DUers see this. It should give them the info they've been waiting for.

NYT says the premiums are misleading.  Also I didn't see anything about deductables on that site.  What doctors/hospitals are available under those plans?   Also, are the premium ( silver, gold) plans taxable (up to 40%) under O'bummercare.  Lots of questions still to answer and I don't think the DUmmies are going to like the answers.

Good questions all around.  Dori asked about taxable. I assume you mean that premiums are not taxed when taken from paycheck.

Here's an example from Cook Co, IL:

I didn't see deductable info.

Under O'bummercare, gold plated plans will be taxed at up to 40% of the premium cost.  That is what unions have been bitching about.  I haven't been able to find out what constitutes a "gold plated" plan but, apparently unions have them.

My understanding is that if you have employer paid insurance and it exceeds 9.5% of your income, then you will be taxed on the excess amount over 9.5%. They are called Cadillac plans.  Don't know when it kicks in or if the percentage is correct.

So you get taxed if your insurance costs too much?

It's only fair (unless you're union).  And besides it is the employer that gets taxed if they give their employees too good of a plan and they deserve it....Right?.

Ohh it's an employer tax. That should help create jobs, we all know how more expenses cause businesses to hire more people. And if that fails all the additional unemployment and SNAP checks will really boost the economy. I'm so glad we have these geniuses in charge.

And that information is available on a W2 form starting last year is it not?   I seem to remember the employer contribution being mentioned before.

I stand corrected, It's not the employer that pays, it's you.  Well, you deserve it for having a "Cadillac" plan...Rich bastids.

If that's true then the dumbasses will be even more ticked. If it operates as stated, then if one makes enough money, they can outpace that tax so essentially it will be lower to middle income folks with 'cadillac plans' who will get taxed since their income is too low to ever overtake those premiums.

For example make 100K x .095= a plan whose premiums are  no more then 9500.00 dollars

Make 50K x .095= a plan whose premiums are no more then 4250.00 dollars.

Lets say the same two work for the same employer and are offered the same plan that costs 7000.00 a year...One assumes the person  making 50K will get taxed on that additional difference between the 9.5 % and the cost of the premium, yet the person making 100K is still well under the amount that would constitute a cadillac plan. I have no idea as to the exact language either, but if it is states as a percentage of income to premiums and plans are essentially the same for most workers in an organization then the lower income employees are going to get hit hardest. Dumbasses.

There's no good answer here.  Nancy Pelosi knows as much about technology as she does about governing. It would take months to rebuild, and they have to go through 5 million lines of code to find where the problems are.  If they put it off, what are the people who are losing insurance going to do? If it goes forward, it is going to be a cluster**** of epic proportions.

In DUmmie parlance, they are committing economic terrorism on the country.  Those anti-capitalist jihadists own this debacle.  Have fun DUmmies.  Soon we'll be calling for hearings on your treasonous activities.  I may just have to go to MoveOn and create a petition to label you. /DU mode.

This will come back to haunt the entire establishment. The GOP is seen as doing nothing to stop this, which means they'd rather cause extreme pain to the American people to score political points instead of doing their jobs and the dems, well their responsibility is well known.

Only a few voices stood up for the American people. Only a few in government listened to the people, who have more common sense than the entitled elite. We knew it would be a disaster.

Without deductibles and co-pays, that list is meaningless.  Those are some big-ass numbers for premiums, though.  Especially when you look at a couple or family.

The GD at the DUmp is quiet as a mouse about this whole mess.  The rest of the internet, however, is blowing up.

Deductibles?

If I remember right the "Bronze" plan is

$6000

$12000

single and family out-of-pocket, then the "coverage" is 60%.

BUT you have to check within the plan to see what ailments are NOT covered and are "extra", cost that is.

IT IS ****ED

Also, remember that king obama waved his magic sceptre and (illegally) waived the maximum out of pocket expenses for at least the first year.

That means THERE IS NO MAXIMUM out of pocket expense limit on these horrid plans.
